* Survive and advance … it’s been awhile for Cat fans, relieved to get that win tonight over Troy.
* Cats had 3 runs that made the difference. The first, the last 5 minutes of the !st half to go up 8 at the half. The second, midway thru the 2nd half to push it out to 20+. The last to fight back from a 9-0 run by Troy to push it back out to 20.
* Cats had 23 assists, but make some risky passes at times that result in turnovers. Against better teams, got to be better on time and possession … had a few unforced TOs tonight.
* Cats finally got going from the 3pt line in the 2nd half (10-26, +6 for the game). 9pts by Chandler was big in that 2nd run by the Cats.
* Williams continues his play of concurrent frustration and great play. Dominated on the glass, but couldn’t make a shot … just dunk the ball. Carr, thought he played well … he’s reliable. Oweh played well. Garrison was good in the 2nd half. Brea played well. Butler, got to get him going … he wasn’t good tonight. Our bench … it was Chandler with a spark and Garrison.
* Cats have struggled at the rim all year … way too many easy layups being missed. Need more dunks, better touch around the rim. Cats leaving too many points on the floor around the rim.
