* A short-handed KY team had a golden opportunity to steal one on the road, but repeatedly refused to take advantage the entire 2nd half. A refusal to open up a double-digit lead in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half opened the door for TX to make a brief run in the final 5 minutes to win the game ... and that's what happened.

* The Cats repeatedly committed bad turnovers (10 in the 2nd half), we simply refused to make the simple plays to win the game. Not surprised we lost given the circumstance, but disappointed that they didn't take advantage of a game where the first 30+ minutes of the game TX was more than happy to lose and we wouldn't take it.

* 6-24 from 3pt line isn't going to get it done for the Cats. Brea (0-4, 0-6 overall) was unfortunately awful today. Oweh got 20 but had to attempt 18 FGs and 5 FTs to get that. Williams was our best player tonight 18 pts and 12 rbs. The talent isn't there to otherwise create shots for ourselves with our injuries.

* We give up too many rebounds on missed FTs and Amari has to be better than 5-11 from the FT line.

* Not much left to say here ... it was a disappointing result when we had a great opportunity to steal one on the road with TX's play for most of the game.

* Up Next: Cats play Vandy in Rupp next Wednesday night. Vandy is better (IMO) than Texas and if the Cats roster is the same ... it's going to take a huge effort from that group to get a win at home. The Cats resume is all over the place. Cats need to find a way to get a win at home.
