* The Cats lose to Texas and the Cats bowl game streak officially comes to an end. The Cats inability to score points has been a problem all year and today was no different…

* The Cats had their chances to make it a game today but repeatedly kept making mistakes … penalties, turnovers, poor tackling, poor blocking, poor offensive play calling/execution … the Cats can’t get out of their own way … and that’s been the story all season.

* To the extent there was any drama today, it would be the QB play. BVG, who may or may not have concussion challenges, just not making good decisions at QB … meanwhile, Boley starts the 2nd half and provides some energy to the team … but Cats still only score 7pts in the 2nd half, and that was a defensive TD. Yet, Boley looks to be a little quicker on decisiveness. It appears that some difficult decisions will have to be made with the QB position.

* Cats inability to repeatedly not score in the red zone has been a problem all year … and it was today. It could have been a 1-score game on the Cats final drive, but prior scoring failures doom the Cats.

* There continues to be an undeserved cockiness and lack of discipline by this team that manifests itself in bad personal foul and unsportsmanlike penalties/conduct. This must change.

* Up Next: The Cats have one game left and may well be a must win for the program. The Cats will be the underdog, at home, against Louisville, a team that is desperate for a win over the Cats. The challenge that the Cats have is, can they hold UL to few enough points to give an inept UK offense the opportunity to score enough to win. It may well take a defensive score and special team points for the Cats to get enough points on the board to get a win.
