* Cats get spanked by 20 pts by a bad Ohio State team on a neutral floor … a team that Auburn beat by 38 a few days ago. The Cats were an over-achieving 10-1 coming into this game, but warning signs have been flashing concerns for awhile about 3pt shooting and defense unable to stop dribble penetration to name two. A bad loss for the Cats tonight.

* You know you are in trouble when Aaron Bradshaw whips your two bigs … Williams has zero shooting touch, terrible … and Garrison wasn’t any better. Our bigs repeatedly missing point blank shots at the rim …

* Oweh tried. Carr tried. Butler tried … but they couldn’t finish. Robinson is charmin soft. Brea can shoot, but the offense has to get him open … and our bench … we don’t have much of a bench. OSU dared the Cats to beat them one on one while not helping on our shooters and we just don’t have the players to go make plays for themselves … CMP better hit the portal hard for some old dudes that can play for next year … I wouldn’t rely on our returning players.

* I would argue it’s been a problem all year that we have overcome by simply out scoring the other team … we can’t stop dribble penetration … that’s likely going to become a bigger problem in league play … it’s a problem … you get Butler in foul trouble and our bigs don’t challenge …

* Would you take 9-9 in the SEC and be happy about it … going by the eye test, how good is this team … this team was pre-season middle of the pack in the SEC and barely ranked in the polls … time will tell, but they may be right …

* Up Next: Cats take on Brown in an afternoon game on New Year’s Eve. Cats are going to fall in the rankings … but that’s the least of their concerns at this point.
