* Cats get their most dominant win in the SEC on Senior Night against LSU. The Tigers did not show up in the 1st half and the game got out of hand as the Cats took a 27pt lead at halftime.

* The Cats 3pt game showed some life tonight 12-32, +18 on the game, and were also +7 on the glass. In something of an anomaly, the Cats won the turnover battle with 8 to 16 for LSU. … ballgame.

* In a no drama game, the only question tonight was the early substitution approach. Since CMP relies so much on analytics, the difference between our starters and our bench is notable. Moving forward, when we sub, IMO, we need to sprinkle in 1-2 of our subs with our starters, we just can’t have 3 or 4 in the game at the same time … the analytics are clear to this point. The irony of that, is the Cats had 4 players in double figures tonight and 3 of those came off the bench.

* It’s Senior Night, so a few comments. It’s a dang shame that Robinson and Kerr aren’t going to be available this year. Add those two, our depth problem goes away, and the Cats are a dangerous team. As to our departing Seniors, given our depth challenges at PG, clearly Butler is critical to any success we have. Carr is steady and reliable, Brea is a weapon when he is making ‘em, Almonor is a sniper when he is open … but for me, the game that Williams plays is unique. He has improved and is a brute with great vision and defensive skills. He can be frustrating, but I am going to miss him next year.

* Up Next: The Cats travel to take on a really good Missouri team. It’s a tough matchup for the Cats with the interchangeable parts that Missouri has. The Cats have a minimum of 3 games left … time to rise up and get it done.
