* A good win for the Cats over Lipscomb, a team favored to win their conference. We are four games in and a lot of the uncertainty about this team has been answered … this is a good basketball team. We have pounded some decent mid-majors to go with the big win over Duke. This team is going to be a tough out.

* It’s really difficult to guard a team that can shoot the ball (12-25 from 3pt) like the Cats can. Add to that a +15 on the glass … and it was a long night for Lipscomb.

* Williams and Garrison combined for 17 pts and 16 rbs … that’s good production out of the center position.

* Good to see Robinson bounce back tonight. Carr only had 2pts, but he does a lot for this team. Butler, Oweh and Brea … really solid, reliable players.

* If I had to quibble, I would note a couple of items: (1) Lipscomb only had 6 TO’s. I think the Cats defense is pretty decent, but we aren’t forcing a lot of TO’s, (2) our bench was outscored 13-2 the final 3 minutes. As CMP says, every minute played matters.

* Up Next: Cats take on Jackson State on Friday night, a team that lost by 57 at Houston.
