* Cats get smacked at home by the Hogs. Easily the best I have seen the Hogs play this year and they were the best team tonight. As for me, I hope Cat fans can move beyond this Cal thing. I know it was unavoidable, but way too much emphasis on Cal leading up to this game … rather it was a home game we needed to win.

* Hogs, with 3 former Cats and 2 recruits, were far more motivated for this game and they played like it. As expected, DJ, Adou, and Z were really good tonight. They wanted this game badly … we will see how they perform moving forward. And, the light came on for Davis who played really well.

* Hogs shot the ball great, 13-25 from 3pt line will win games just about every time. They haven’t done that all year, but it shouldn’t surprise anyone that a motivated Arkansas team would do that tonight. Hogs a lot more athletic than the Cats … we had no answers trying to defend them if they make 3’s, as they got to the rim at will. We are what we are on defense … our hope is to outscore the other team with a lot of points.

* For the Cats, turnovers killed the Cats again. This has to be fixed. Bad passes have been a too common problem for this team. Couple that with our inability to create turnovers of our own, and it puts a lot of pressure on the Cats to value every possession.

* Williams played well with 22 pts and 11 rbs. Robinson played well. The Cats made a very good 10-23 from 3pt line … but still -9 from 3pt line …. couple that with 6 more TOs and 9-18 from the FT line … that adds up to a big loss.

* Up Next: Cats travel to take on a good Ole Miss team on Tuesday night. Have to move on from this game and not let it affect you moving forward. IMO, fans and some pundits put way too much emphasis on the Cal thing and you can’t let that turn into a negative moving forward. For me, the biggest negative tonight, was we lost a home game … have to make up for that moving forward.
