* Big win for the Cats. Protected the home court which will be massive this year. Cats make 3 big runs, 16-0, 10-0, and 10-0 were huge keys to the win ... all keyed off of rebounding and getting some turnovers (we had 20 pts off of 9 Gator TOs).

* Cats got pounded on the glass, particularly giving up so many offensive rebounds ... 31 pts on 2nd chance points for the Gators. Huge factor in keeping the Gators in the game. Cats have to get a lot better rebounding the ball ... in particular we aren't good at rebounding out of our own space ... we don't pursue where the ball goes. Could have cost us today, but we survived it.

* Butler, IMO, is our most important player. We need him in the game, he has to avoid foul trouble. That said, our best pro prospect, may be Brea. His ability to make shots is a huge weapon that translates to the pros. 7-9 from 3pt line (lot of tough shots) probably won the game for us along with Oweh giving us some life in the 1st half when things looked bad for the Cats.

* Gators 22-35 from the FT line compared to Cats 18-24. Gators got a very favorable whistle from my eye, fortunately, they missed several ... along with rebounding, somehow the Cats overcame those two big stats.

* 106-100 win today ... I think it's fair to say that for the Cats to win in the SEC, we are going to have to score a lot of points. In those games where we struggle to score, won't be surprised if we take some beatdowns when that happens ... our rebounding and defense hasn't proven to be good enough to overcome sub-par offensive games. But, when we are making shots like Brea did today ... Cats are a tough out.

* Williams struggled early but was better as the game went on. Garrison got pushed around, Robinson has to get a lot tougher, Carr made a big 3 late and some buckets in the paint, but struggled at the FT line and rebounding.

* Huge win for the Cats .... protect that home court.

* Up Next: Cats travel to Georgia on Tuesday night to take on a currently 12-1 Bulldog team. Going to be a physical war ... Cats have to be up for the challenge. This might be an opportunity to steal a road win.
