I remember hearing that Matt Jones said that we may get a commitment soon after BBM. Do you think he was talking about Gabriel? Or do you think he was talking about someone else.

Most are saying Fox will commit right after BBM.

Fox, Gabriel, and Killeya-Jones would make for a great Fall class.

Fox most likely. Not trying to highjack the thread but IMO we have a better shot at Giles than most people think. This will be his second BBM, and Cal has been on him for 4 years now. Duke is the favorite but we are not as far behind as most ppl think...

Fox. Even two UL guys on 247 picked UK after Fox's UL visit.

Got to get Monk. He's the guy who would change everything next year from a scoring standpoint (much like Murray this upcoming season).

Hopefully UK lands Fox in November, then Monk in the spring. Would be a great class.

If we win a natty with 3 elite PGs on the roster, Cal could see future recruits on a team with nothing but PGs. [roll]

Check out his interview from draftexpress. It sounds like coach cal sold him on playing with another eilte guard. Hopefully that will be Monk.

Would love it. Wouldn't mind if Alkins or Simmons joined them either and ran a three guard attack two years in a row.

Almost has to be Fox, and I don't think people are excited enough about that.

Fox was dominant this summer. He showed 0 holes in his game. He scored, and did so efficiently, he rebounded really well for a guard, he distributed, leading the EYBL in assists, and he defended, leading the EYBL in steals. If he comes to UK, he's the best PG prospect UK's signed since Brandon Knight, maybe the best since John Wall.

I hope so , every year there is a single recruit that I covet the most and Fox is that player this year .

I am super excited about Fox.

Love having two bigs already on board and several guys expected to be back. Should be a great season.

We get Fox, then worse case scenario:

Starters
G Fox
G Mulder
F Gabriel
F Killeya-Jones
F Humphries

Key Reserves
G Hawkins
G Matthews
F Wynyard

De'Aaron Fox

You have no sources.

I hope you guys are right and it's Fox. He is the best point guard in the entire class and has superstar potenial. I think the gap between the #1 rated pg and #2 is pretty huge this year. With what we will have on the team, we need the best pg leading them and Fox is the guy. He will be our next great pg in the NBA. Add Fox and Monk and we have the best backcourt in the nation and won't be too bad in the frontcourt. Fox, Monk and Gabriel on the floor together will be fun to watch. All of those guys can fly and shoot. Our class is shaping up nicely and if these 4 super classes happen, it's going to be a fun year in college basketball next season.

Matthews will not be coming off the bench.

I can live with Matthews in there instead of Mulder. I like Mulder offensively better, but Matthews is the better defender. They both play a lot, in that scenario.

It's a hypothetical situation, so there is not really a right or wrong answer.

I really do believe Matthews will be the surprise of the class. Kid will play a big roll this year in our success, mark it down.

I can't wait to see how Matthews and Mulder play. They are the two biggest mysteries to me. I am not sure what to expect from them.

I predict:

Fox
Monk
Matthews
Marcus Lee (I think he comes back)
Isaac Humphries

Mulder
Hawkins
Killeya-Jones
Gabriel
Willis
Wynyard
Floreal

Hawkins may be an important player off the bench. I imagine as a senior, he'll be a good back-up guard. He's already proven himself defensively, and he can only be improved offensively. We will have a deep, yet young, frontcourt, too. But if Marcus Lee leaves, well... We'll still have a solid frontcourt, but it'll be quite young. I hope Lee stays for his senior year. He seems like someone that might do it, kinda like Willie Cauley-Stein did.

WCS left after his Junior year.

Love to see Lee stay, if he wants.

As much as people are hyping Matthews, I can't see Cal leaving Gabriel on the bench.

In your scenario, I'll say:

Starters
G Fox
G Monk
F Gabriel
F Lee
F Humphries

Key Reserves
G Matthews
F Killeya-Jones
G Mulder

Bench
F Wynyard
G Hawkins
F Willis
G Floreal

Huh?

Hope on that UL visit Fox stayed out of the hen house.
That's funny. Seriously, though, every player who has visited UL will be suspect now, and a lot of them will receive inquiring calls from investigative reporters. I still expect Fox and Monk to end up at Kentucky.

Here's my 2 cents worth...I think we get Fox but I don't think he'll commit at BBN. I think his timetable was pretty honest. So, maybe 3 weeks after.

I'm beginning to think the recruit that may commit is Bolden. I may be wrong...just reading between the tea leaves. I hope we're all wrong & Giles SHOCKS THE WORLD & commits to UK!

PPat74 , don't pay any attention to guys like that on this site. There are 100's of them..I tend to agree with you and I do have a source..But I never put anything on this site that gives any type of viable information because of the vitriol you have to deal with whether the source is right or wrong..Too many teenagers and 20 somethings on this site to carry on any type of intelligent conversation with. GO CATS!!

Most likely Fox. That would be a class of Fox, Gabriel, and Killeya-Jones before the season even starts. Not a bad start at all if you ask me.

Fox, Im hoping. And I agree about having a better shot at Giles.
Fox, Giles and Monk is an "Are you Serious??" Class This could end up being Cals best class ever at UK

I would like to think we have a good shot at Giles, but after looking at the projected class, that might be just too much firepower to have on one team and just wouldn't be fair. You won't see me complain if that happens, but I won't be shocked if it doesn't.
