Yes, I know I will get blasted for this, but I don't care.

Some positives of last night:

-First, we didn't do a Kentucky typical and let a bad offense look like an Aaron Rogers led Packers team.
-Speaking of defense. It was good to see some young guys making plays. For all of the heat Stoops has taken (some deserved, some not) you can't deny that he has brought in some good young talent. If you deny it, then you just have another agenda IMHO.
Baity- played one heck of a game. Was flying around. Tackled well, covered well, had some fire in him. Loved the way he was playing.
Westry- see Baity. I am REALLY excited about these two corners. Size, Speed, Cover Skills, Length, Athleticism. What is not to like about those two guys. They will just get better and better.
Mike Edwards- Has been playing very well of late. He had another good game last night as did West who was finally back on the field.
Stamps- where has that been? He looked like the old Stamps last night. Hitting hard, tackling well, breaking up passes. Good game.
Elam- had a pretty good night. Not world beating, but solid, which is a step in the right direction. I still think he will be a great player before he leaves.
***Khalid Henderson- This guy has been really impressive to me for multiple reasons. But the main one is the fact that he was playing very well at the beginning of the season. Then, Falnnigan comes back he doesn't see much time at all. He never hung his head and obviously kept working. He had a very solid game last night and even played descent against UT and UGA. IMO, he has been one of, if not the most consistent LBs on the team.
Overall, the defense played well. That is a positive in itself as we are usually the team that bad offenses look to have good days against.

Another bright spot is Sihiem King!! The guy looks to be a dynamic kick returner if we can get the ST situation straightened out to give him some good blocking. He also looks good coming out of the backfield. I think he has a bright future.

Offensive line protected well. Considering that Vandy is supposed to have a good defense, the OLine gave the QB plenty of time last night other than a few plays. Now, run blocking? Not even going to think about that as I would just get pissed off again thinking about how we couldn't get a freakin yard at the one. Well, nevermind, I am pissed again.

But I digress as this is supposed to be a positive thread.

Another thing that I think looks promising is that Barker has all the tools to get the job done. It is also obvious that he needs more time to get the kinks worked out and get the experience and learn more, but he definitely has the talent.

And the last thing I am going to say, and this is where most of the bashing will begin, is that our young guys are talented and are getting better. Now, they are wildly inconsistent at times, but that is the proof of youth. But the talent is there for them to have some good teams in the future.

Next order of business is to finish with two wins, go to a bowl and win, and keep this recruiting class in tact and add the Rivals 250 guys that JRow can't talk about.

Go CATS!!!
