I mentioned George in my thread just yesterday. Go hard after the kid from ETSU, Quimari Peterson. I think we will end up getting the Princeton PG, Xavian Lee.

Just the "no contact" tag. It is not a sure sign, but when a guy has that and he talks to a team, it is better odds than a guy open season and 30 teams are hitting him up. Lee is being selective and has an idea where he wants to go.
One of the reasons I was skeptical about Pope was because he had never signed any big fish before coming to UK. We were told well, he was at BYU, what did you expect? Then BYU hires a new coach and Shazam, they are killing it in recruiting and possibly have a top 5 roster next year. We OTOH still have no star power unless Oweh improves his shooting.
Looks like we’ll have a roster full of decent players again but nobody to go get a bucket when you need one (I know Oweh had a couple of buzzer beaters but he really struggles to finish at the rim it seems) and not really a threat to win anything again.

I'm actually fine with the staff and who they have on the roster so far. Have there been some really good players already off the board? Sure. but let's not forget that CMP knows the type and kind of disposition along with talent, and that the fit is right before finalizing anything with anyone. So in the end, I am cool with how the process has gone because I trust in Coach Pope.
Things are shaping up nicely. For those that are worried, don't fret. I've that feeling again that CMP has got us taken care of. We're going to have a monster team next year.

This right here 1000%! This is exactly what I've been saying since last offseason. I mean look at the players that have signed with BYU after Pope left. It's concerning they got the #1 player. People will argue that BYU has a nice NIL bank, so where was it when Pope was there?
Isaiah Johnson Arigu who left Miami FL when Larranaga quit--and chose Iowa--just entered the Portal again today.
This guy is a sleeper that I'd look into. 6'7/6'8 and can handle the ball/pass/rebound/defend. He needs to work to be more consistent on his jumper from 3pt line-but he's an SEC athlete. Here's a clip recapping his Sr yr going into the State Championship game last year- (They won it for 3rd straight year and had some highlights I posted in old Recruiting Thread)

We need another good five why have we not went after Veesaar? Three years left, 7-0 and a very high upside. When Garrison will be out as of now we will have no big grown men to protect the rim and the inside. As usual there is not many bigs like that out there. Still don't understand why we haven't gone after Bailey also.
He has several good programs after him, including Duke. I am not confident until it is announced.
We didn’t really have interest in these two apparently… even thought they visited and stuff. Idk Gillespie did or we had much chance but still. Hairdos are getting off the board left and right.
Wonder if we will contact Rodney Rice. He entered to portal and is a SG. Had a great freshman year for the Terps. 14ppg.
I bet if you ask a few on here we didn’t even pursue neither one of these guys.
Florida will be tough to beat for Lee, if they push for him. He and Haugh were high school teammates.
Gators also in on Hargress.
