Hubbard is good don’t get me wrong but he is worst defensively then Perry is. Also could Hubbard and jasper work? I would take him as Hubbard when on is a inferno but when he is bad he lose you the game bad.Hope not tbh
I do not want Hubbard not a fan of a small volume shooter at 34% clip Hard Pass
Good. Practice reps would have been unnecessary risk
3rd ranking SG in that classI liked him coming out of high school.
3 years left. Might be a good investment. Not a good shooter at all. Not sure if he would be a good fit.I liked him coming out of high school.
Surprised he is not staying with new coach coming in. He needs to get stronger. He might be useful as shooter but I think he will demand a high bag.I liked him coming out of high school.
100%. If in fact Smith is interested in changing uniforms, I would prioritize him.I prefer Smith over Agbim because of one reason and one reason only —- demonstrated performance against the highest level of competition . From a pure talent standpoint, Agbim has the edge in my opinion. The problem is we have a very small sample size of him doing what he does against top competition and he hasn’t been to a national title game like Smith. We know how Smith can handle the atmosphere of being on a March run, whereas that is not in the realm of knowable with Agbim. I love both of their games though.
Curious to see when he winds up.Surprised he is not staying with new coach coming in. He needs to get stronger. He might be useful as shooter but I think he will demand a high bag.
Thought he was supposed to be a shooter3 years left. Might be a good investment. Not a good shooter at all. Not sure if he would be a good fit.
If you are talking about Bethea:Thought he was supposed to be a shooter
Need someone who is an unquestioned alpha, need more 3 and D guys, need a do-it-all stretch four and a unicorn centerBetter fire up this thread again, gonna get hot now the next week or two. Who should we go after now?
Obviously but he’s not in the portal yet.It seems like Braden Smith is a more solid Point Guard. He looks to pass first which is good. Can score if needed.
He can play defense too.
I have only watch a bit of him, but not sure how physical he is.
I think Braden Smith should be our #1 PG target.
I was hoping to get Smith or Dent. (Dent is to ucla)
We also need "superstars", to use Pope's own words. Gathering up another money ball crew ain't gonna cut it in year 2 unless you have at least one stud.Need someone who is an unquestioned alpha, need more 3 and D guys, need a do-it-all stretch four and a unicorn center
I say let him get 2 final four experiences and then we snag him lolObviously but he’s not in the portal yet.
Hold Up.Ryan Conwell from Xavier entered today he’s a 96 rank.
YupHold Up.
So Transfers are ranked like in the video game? 1-100? With 100 being the best?
Absolutely we need one, that’s why taking a chance on Ament is good. He could be a guyWe need to go get an absolute STUD or two.
Watching LJ Cryer at Houston, Braden Smith at Purdue, etc., would be so great to have a guy like that who is just the best player on the floor 90% of the time.
When I say “unquestioned” alpha, I mean the same thing you mean when you say “superstar”. I don’t think you need two and in most cases, that can muddy things. You need one and I would like it to be a PG. I don’t know who would take that as an attack on Pope. As far as tonight being a travesty, I suppose that depends on what you mean. I didn’t think we were supposed to win against Tennessee the two other times we played them. That’s because…we didn’t have the talent. Now is the time to go get it. Therefore, I think I mostly agree with your post if I understood your point correctly. We also need "superstars", to use Pope's own words. Gathering up another money ball crew ain't gonna cut it in year 2.
Tonight was a travesty. The UK staff needs to go all-in and be willing to kill it on the recruiting front. If they want to be nice guys on the sideline, fine, but they need to slit some throats when it comes to recruiting against UNC, Arkansas, Kansas, Duke, and UConn.
People automatically take that type of talk as an attack on Pope. It's not. It's reality. He's here to win titles.
I dunno, it’s all subjective still. Just putting what the scouts supposedly say to get an idea of the talent level. For example Stiritz and Dent were 98.Do you prefer that to the 5 star system?
Welp. No need for cups.So if I follow this correctly Iowa will be playing without dix next season.
He didn't really do anything well. I could see taking a chance coaching up his shooting, like Pope did with Butler, if was a standout defender or a savant at setting up teammates. He was just rather meh overall. If you are talking about Bethea:
36.8% FG and 32.6% from 3.
Not exactly what I would call a “bucket.”
