I got crushed when I said he was the second coming of Tubby. Super nice guy, will win some big games here and there but ultimately won't win anything of substance

Love me some Pope!! Not sure why everyone has such high expectations in year 1. This is an average sec team this year. Will still be a tourney team though. A solid coach with just above average players . But that’ll change

Obviously too early, but it will be interesting to see if this is just a result of this hodgepodge team, or a systemic problem. This was a bad loss.

Get Carr (and hopefully Kerr) back for March and hit the trail hard for next season to find the missing pieces and right fits.

The lineups made absolutely ZERO sense.
We had ZERO foul trouble, yet we decided to WILLINGLY put Colin Chandler in the game for stretches? Noah and Perry at the same time?! What were we doing?!
Pope is struggling with having his team ready to play. We can’t have half the team be no shows every game. Today it was Bulter, Williams and Brea. Next game it will be Carr and Robinson. And when I say no show, I mean a player that does more harm that good. You don’t have to be a star but you should at least be solid.
I want Pope to succeed. I loved him as a player and I like watching this team play. I just do not understand playing Perry and Noah on the floor at the same time. This is the second game that we have been killed with these two kids playing at the same time. I agree Perry has gotten better, but they are just limited physically. The best thing that could happen for Coach is for both of these kids to transfer.
No over-reaction here......Come on people, remember what we truly expected in year 1. We are getting more than that. Will there be bumps along the way? for sure! But at least we have a Coach who wants to be here, and has shown he can recruit and play a great style. Will he win number 9 here? Who knows, but I will take my chances with him!
That’s a tired argument-he deserves props for the incredible coaching job he did in the Tourney to win our 7th championship. Too bad you can’t give credit where credit is due.
