Okay, this is an argument that actually makes sense. I think a lot of the people arguing for it would be upset if it was confirmed that it was because we know we aren’t winning this year.
LSU sucks. We’ve lost games this year because of his insistence on playing certain guys a certain amount of time.
I’m not necessarily saying Pope believes that we aren’t winning it all —- to be clear that’s my view. I’d love to win it all but we don’t have the horses. You can’t build quality depth without playing guys though. It solves multiple issues going forward — you have a better idea what you have with guys at the end of your bench, you get reps for more players and you can attract more bench pieces in the program going forward once players realize there will be opportunities to get minutes even if they aren’t starters. People aren’t seeing the big picture imo if they reject the wide bench
I disagree that playing a bunch of guys is always the right call, especially if your goal is to win as many games as possible.
You wanna deny reality, go ahead. We have without question lost games recently because he insists on playing 10 guys, even after the injuries. If you can’t see some of these guys have no business playing as much as they do, I can’t help you.

What is clear? The discussion is whether playing a bunch of guys is always in the best interest of the team. In our current situation, where we aren’t making a run, I get it. If we had a chance, and we were playing some of these guys as much as we are, that would be a clear situation where it’s bad.
