35 threes a game is going to be Pope’s equivalent to Tubby’s run more.
Loved what Pope said about Carr. Showed up and did the things that don't show up in the box score this game.
Think our guys are looking for them but defenses are hedging out and we’re not getting as many open looks in the half court.
IMO we need to get better at shot fake and dribble penetration to create more open kick out looks. Sometimes we look a little stuck in our half court when we can’t run our weave motion.

Just like Robinson did last game. And Kriisa does just about every game. We have a team FULL of these guys. It’s really awesome.
Always motivating his guys, especially when they watch the film. He won’t have to say a word and Carr will play 10X better next game because Coach has his back
I can't wait for the game where Kerr hits like 4 3's. It will be awesome.
I think he might get what he wants because he has a great team and we have a very good coach.
Pope said guys need to start cutting harder, especially back door cuts, as defenses hedge out hard.
Once they back door a team several times for layups, that should open up the perimeter for better looks. Maybe then the team can start shooting a better percentage instead of the meager 40%... bunch of non-shooting bums!
I'm hoping Brea can eventually find his shooting stroke!

Teams are starting to come out and take the 3 away, duke did a good job of that, but when you come that far out, there are lots of gaps.
The one thing I hope Pope gets worked out is the lack of putting a body on a body when the ball goes up. We seem to shot-watch instead of getting into rebounding position. Anyone else notice that?

If our bigs learn to pass the ball back out when they don't have a shot we could increase our attempts by 5 per game right there.
People overlook what Jaxon does on the other end of the court . He has been absolutely stellar on the defensive end and also the boards. Brea ,who would ever think , this kid can flat out rebound . I like kids that play hard on both sides of the ball.😀
So far nobody better at getting a three off of a shot fake than Brea. Every game he catches a guy flying through the air, side steps him and drains it.
The culture Pope has instilled is the catalyst for so much of what this group of talents are doing. They truly are sacrificing and they don't have to try to sell that to people in the media, they just go out and do it.
I know this is just the beginning and things can go off the rails in a hurry. Injuries could bite us, but of the things that can be controlled, I feel like Pope will do what's needed to win and keep the positive environment going.
