Doubt we get him to stay, but Pope's gonna do just fine here. He's as hungry to get us #9 and # 10 as we are.
His fit is being the best HS player in the country. If you cant fit that then we have a bad coach

He’s an every coach and school in America type player. Stop with the stupid Cal stuff, JQ would be a fit at UK or any other school.
Kinda feels like a waste of time. Not to say that Pope shouldn't do the visit, but it feels like the Big Z meeting where he already knew Kentucky wasn't an option.
Why of course go talk to the kid. Tell him how he will be used on the team, gauge what he wants in NIL and then let it play out.

Glad to hear honestly, I think his NIL ask is crazy but I’d love to keep him for a reasonable price for 2 years.

I wouldn't get too hung up on what type of players Pope liked at BYU. Remember, it was a bunch if Mormons. He was going to have to have shooters by nature lol.
Thats not to say it isn't his offensive style... but I don't think he's going to turn down elite talent just because they might not be the most efficient shooters available. Pope went from being out of the running for 90% of recruits, to basically being able to make a run at anyone he wants. That opens up a LOT of opportunity.
