I will still stop watching college basketball all together then. I will stick to watching UK and OSU football, Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, AD/LeBron/Booker, Woods/Koepka and that's it.
At least Pope knows better than most what he would be getting himself into.
Also, as people have said about Drew, Oats and others, UK gives you massive advantages coaching at BYU doesn't. So he could in theory do very well here.

People wanted Cal out so freaking bad they never thought about the possible consequences. It was definitely time for Cal to leave but if we end up with Mark Pope this would have gone about as bad as it possibly could.

Hiring former players usually doesn't turn out well.
Mitch should have had a speed dial list of coaches prepared for Cal's departure ready on day one. Especially after Cal flirted with UCLA in 2019.
