It's sad for us as fans but you have to admit it's comedy gold.
His base salary is 400k higher than Dan Hurley made this year. Mitch is such a clown show.
The money is irrelevant. It's pennies to UK. The UK coach should be well paid, regardless if we think he deserves it. It's kind the 50th thing on the list of things wrong
Cool, if that’s true, then charge less for tickets, concessions, whatever. If overpaying by $3mm a year is nothing, give it back to the fans.

This you pay him 3,75M for the first year and if it goes well you give him raise. Like a normal work process.

Cal set the bar low for the past four years. The money doesn't matter. Doesn't come out of our pockets anyway.
Cal had his chance to fix this. He quit. Gave up. We need to give Mark a chance. He deserves that from us.

I'm embarrassed by some of the ridiculous stuff I've read. We all need to get behind Mark. It's (apparently) a done deal so no need to keep the whining going. People are failing to see this could be a lot of fun. Nobody, certainly nobody here, knows who the next great college coach will be. Maybe it'll be Mark Pope. If his teams play the way he did we'll all be happy...intense, focused, balls to the wall hustle. Offense was #2 3-point O in NCAA. Should keep Sheppard now, hit the portal and take our chances. Can't possibly be worse than the last 5 years. Give the guy a chance.
