Asked to compare his current roster, without bashing his old team pretty much says this team is way better already. Emphasized that they are actually way more experienced than his BYU team from last season.
Pope sounded confident in adding 2 more guys soon, and said he would use the 3rd open scholly spot as a "floating" scholarship for a project, redshirt or a high risk guy - whatever that means.
Spoke very highly of Collin Chandler. Called him a superstar.
Said creating a roster from scratch was a blessing in disguise as they were able to mix and match the exact attributes they wanted. Doesn't sound like the missed much on their targets.
Said he has been recruiting Kerr Kriisa for 6 years. Once went over to Europe to meet him before he came to the US. Obviously very pumped to finally land him.
