I don't understand his substitution patterns and I don't think he does either.

He's done a bad job in many of the games we have been highly favored. Needs to do a better job motivating these guys for games they are expected to win. Sad performance.
Arkansas clearly has more talent. And they just wanted it much more. Hard work plus talent, usually gives you good results

Quit playing nice, quit listening to Pitino, quit playing lackluster. Our guys are always banged up and hurt. Carr, Butler, need to get healed up. Carr is offering nothing right now. Chandler isn’t ready and got too many minutes.

Because at least it's a different look for them, against our man to man they did whatever they wanted, I also love how Noah couldn't get any run this game but he kept putting in Chandler.

Had zero to do with this loss. We were not ready to play and to lose at Rupp to this team is 100% bullshit.
You run a zone when you’re playing a team that is twice more athletic than you are.
If the honeymoon wasn't already over it certainly is now. Hard to have any confidence in this team when they refuse to play D. This has always been a problem for Pope. He needs a defensive coordinator on staff.

84 active coaches have an NCAAT win. It’s not that hard. It’s pathetic that he doesn’t.
Pope is a junk pitcher. That's just what he is. And that's not a bad thing. He can win a ton of games doing what he does. The gamble is hoping that at UK he can elevate his talent to overcome some defensive issues his teams have always shown. But this team was just thrown together fast because he got in the game late. He just doesn't have the dogs to win night in and night out in the SEC this year. If we aren't hitting shots and the other team is then we get nights like tonight. If we are and they aren't then we get nights like we played in Knoxville. It was a bad game tonight and not having Butler was huge factor tonight. I have faith he will adjust some of what he does but this year we are going to have highs and lows.

Bingo you play a zone against Calipari because he also doesn’t know how to coach against a zone. I mean this isn’t rocket science and Pope is a smart man.
If they would have had Fland and 5 more minutes they would have beaten us by 20 or more. This is hard to take, I knew this could happen but was hoping it wouldn’t. You can’t lose home games to last place teams, but we did and it’s going to cost us.

I didn’t like some of Popes non moves tonight ( no zone ) playing poor lineups . But Cal didn’t magically out coach Pope .. Ark threw in 3s which are the key to winning a big road game .. they far far FAR outplayed their averages .

When Coach Pope gets MORE athletic kids in here that are MORE skilled, then games like these will be a thing of the past. Cal's bunch played their BEST tonight and WON'T do it again this season. We ALL have seen this before from him!!!
Just look at the BAMA game last year. We didn't play like that again and lost to FREAKIN Oakland!!!!

Cal didn’t out coach anyone. He ran the same stuff he has ran for 10 years. Arkansas made shots and didn’t turn the ball over. Period. Plus Brea was god awful.
