Chandler needs to start this one at PG instead of Perry… Love Perry, but he’s a yr or two away from where Chandler is now!

Chandler will end up playing much more than Perry. Pope's doing the right thing IMO. He needs confidence with all the injuries. He's been keeping him on a pretty short leash and will do so again tonight.

There isn’t anyone on our team with the exception of Butler that can guard Sears. Travis I think had zero turnovers against Bama the last game. Wouldn’t hurt if our bigs would block Sears shot every once in a while!

I think Chandler or Oweh could do a good job on him. The key is Pope limiting one part of Sears’s over skillset because you can’t stop everything. I think Pope should task either player with keeping Sears out of the paint because that is literally the way they create all the drive and kick opportunities. That will mean you end up allowing Sears three point looks.

You rest Butler tonight and throughout next week. Get him back for the first round of the tournament.

Just about. I don’t have any explanation as to why Pope even considers starting Perry. He has absolutely NO chance guarding any SEC guards, much less Sears. We’ll be in a huge hole early with this move.
