My ex father in law and I were first in line at Midnight Madness in 1993. This was Mark’s first year and he had to sit out as a transfer. While we were waiting in line (80 1/2 hours) we would go into Memorial Coliseum and watch the guys play pick up. After finishing a game, Mark was shooting around by himself and looks over at me and was like, Do you wanna play? I couldn’t believe it. I was like Hell yeah I wanna play. I was in jeans and a sweatshirt but I wasn’t going to turn down playing a UK player on Memorial Coliseum floor! He said he would only shoot three’s. lol He beat me like a rented mule but I’ll always love him for that memory! We actually wrote each other for a while, while he was at UK. Great player but even greater person! I am all in on our coach! Go Big Blue! I would post pics but the picture button is grayed out.
