Playing scared at the end of the half

Run seams. Anything open, throw it up. Nothing open? Throw it away or tuck it. I don't agree with that decision at all, but I understand why Stoops did it.

did we look scared? Uh, no. Have we played scared the whole first half? No we didn't. It's called strategy. We get the ball back first and we started at the frickin 2 yard line man. Oh and you try a pass and miss you stop the clock.

They are playing the percentages. We had to fight just to get past the 20. So instead of having a tipped ball or something that gives Mizzou a chance to score you just don't do it. Unless you just totally overmatch a team. Which we don't. Missouri is good.

Plus we're receiving the second half kick-off...

I guess it would be sort of interesting to see what we would whine about if it weren't this.

On second thought, it probably wouldn't be interesting in the least.

Playing smart. Get the ball back to start the second, so why risk turning it over, and possibly giving up points. People can say "Oh BS, that wouldn't happen", but it has happened more times than any human being can count.

You guys that think coaches are above criticism are ridiculous. Yep we get the ball after half. Could've been 10-7 when we get it too. You'll be the same ones blaming the players if we lose by 3.

I'd rather take a chance. We have talent everywhere.

If the clock stops, run it. Run, pass, run, pass. 2 timeouts.

UK isn't the kind of team that can rest easy on a tie at the half. If you think otherwise, you're kidding yourself.

I get those that choose to be safe.

But, we could have prevented punting.

One full minute is a long time to get 40 yards with 2 TO's.

The famed two minute offense is based on going 80 yards with no timeouts and scoring a TD...

I may be all alone on this, but I thought it was smart to get to the half tied and then get the ball to start the second half. Towles has played awesome, but you get the feeling he's due a bad play, and their pass rush is huge - I had no issue with getting to the half tied.

If you have that bad feeling I dont mind you going with your gut!

Remember when we were told that this team would play fast...air raid with lots of no huddle and hurry up.

THAT is why everyone was ticked off to end the half.

Dawson was going to come out and have our offense take a massive deuce on the starting drive.

BS no penalties on Mizzou .. you mean none called . they committed plenty

Missouri just went 40 yards under one minute without any time outs and hit a field goal....
