Players Parents Are Officially Fed Up

Even before reading this, I expected Key and/or Brown would transfer this off-season, now I expect several may transfer out.

We went all in on trying to keep brown happy and it cost us a couple of wins and maybe some other good players.

Can't blame them. I posted it starting back in the Vanderbilt game it was noticable we forced touches for barion and you could see the entire offense deflate when we'd weirdly go to him deep and stall a drive

He's nowhere near good enough to sacrifice a season. Parents should be irate and fans just as mad that our staff, especially coen, didn't have the guts to tell him he'd get the ball plenty if he'd get open and catch the ball

What coach is going to want a WR(Brown) that runs CRAPPY routes, drops 50% of the balls thrown his way, is undisciplined, runs his mouth the entire game even when he screws up and STILL will want big NIL money????

I really hope Dane comes back because he is just suffering through playing with a HORRIBLE QB. He has made some mistakes and fumbling tonight hurt, but he will work to get better.

Stoops doesn't care. He is here to collect a check.

He won't ever win 9 games in a regular season again and the barnie decisi9n to give him an extension and raise will be mocked for years to come.

His saving grace is UK football has 0 expectations.
Hindsight is 20/20 man. If MB doesn’t give Stoops raises after two 10 win seasons in 3 years, then the fanbase is calling for MB’s head as well.

That said, Stoops needs to look in the mirror this offseason and step down soon if he isn’t going to make the necessary changes in his style of play.

True. Same principle applied to cal n 2019.

Barnie gambled and lost n both cases .

You think Barnhart lost in the case of Cal?

Have you seen the basketball team play? Team this year is gonna go down as one of Cal’s best here imo.

Cal made the necessary changes and hired Welch - offensive problems solved.

Stoops will never give up full control of the offensive pace and play calling.

I believe he is 7-7 since the new contract. I also believe he only has 1 win against a team with a winning record in those 7 games. Definitely not worth the pay raise. Barnhart should be a politician with his experience at wasting money.

The parents tweeting really makes you think. Losing the parents is a big deal. Have to think he's lost the locker room.

You have to think kids are going to transfer.

Mitch won't fire him after this season. But Stoops gonna be feeling awfully uncomfortable in that locker room.

Considering what's coming to the SEC, our lack of a recruiting base and NIL issues, no coach is likely to do that.

I'm not defending Stoops anymore, thats just the way it is. I still think it'll hurt us to replace Stoops but I'm pretty exhausted by our play. I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose Brown, Key, Hairston and Walker after the season.

Coen hasn't helped at all. We're pretty well screwed at this point.

You're absolutely right but I've hit my limit on how many negative/realistic things I can "like" because it's so depressing right now

If you're ready to believe in a UK basketball squad BEFORE Cal proves that the post-2015 version of himself can reach a Final Four, you're a braver man than I.

If you THINK Cal is going to listen to Welch during a tough game, you're delusional. If there is one thing Cal has shown, it's that he's going to do it his way, win or lose

Not good when this happens. Hard to keep perspective parents are just humans too and their platforms aren’t necessarily insight. Just getting out their frustrations like others but stuff like this is a Rorschach test for whatever you already believe usually.

As far as bellcow carries go:

He had 12 of the 24 designed runs and looked to me to be favoring his left side on pass pro and when initiating contact. Even his spin move TD happened when a defender was coming in at his left. I wish they ran it more overall but it was a makeshift OL and I think they are ride or die with Leary.

The point is....we have NO leadership on the sideline. I can't overly blame players too much (although they've earned their fair share) when we have absolute INCOMPETENCY on the sidelines.

There are no bad teams, only bad leaders.
Correct....it beyond the sideline. The University has poor leadership. Capiluto tolerates Barnharts low standards and Barnhart repeatedly embraces and rewards mediocrity from all his coaches and programs. Mitch has set the bar incredibly low so why should any of his employees work harder to be better??

A coach that knows how to coach up and develop talent . We don't have a staff that has shown the ability to coach kids up and make them better. When was the last time an offensive player came to UK and left better than when he arrived? It's been a few years now. All our best players showed up with skills and coaching that was acquired other places. Levis, Wandale, Tayvion,

Brown likely transfers to a Tennessee , Auburn or Louisville gets the coaching he needs and kills it.

If you can’t already see the changes made to our offense in basketball, I don’t know what to tell you. But it’s very obvious.

How many 7 footers played in the offense you are describing? I GUARANTEE Cal will stick 2 seven footers in at the same time and clog up everything. He CAN'T HELP HIMSELF! 2 seven footers and Mitchell all in at the same time. GUARANTEE it .
