Jones went from one of my least favorite Wildcats in his freshman season to my favorite player in the Cal era in his sophomore season.
It can not be stated enough how much better he got as a sophomore and how important he was to that team winning a title.

Jones is extremely overlooked. He was an excellent defender, rebounder, and passer. Not to mention the best post pressence on a squad that should have went unbeaten. If PJ is close to that UK will be tough to beat later in the year. I think his game is similar but to say he will be a better version is a bit of a stretch.
UMM and butters are blood relatives. Come from a family that say whatever pops in their head.
If Washington is as good as Jones I will be very pleased.

He did a TON of the dirty work on that title team, and over the last two months of the season played his role to near perfection. He was a flat out beast down the stretch that year. Probably underrated as a defender too. High bball IQ. Loved that dude.

I think, in the case of butters, that all his posts are very intentional and he doesn't believe a word he types. He is just on here to stir people up and then disappears. You'll notice that he rarely has much of anything else to post once he starts one of his ridiculous threads and just moves on to create another very similar thread to to get people wound up. I don't see what twisted thrill he gets from doing this sort of thing when most on here recognize just what he is doing. Plus, we all know that he is not even close to being a UK fan which makes me wonder why the mods allow him to do this as each new season begins to come around.

On this team it is. Jones was the focal point of an average team and put up 16 and 9 and 2 while being one of the most dominant players in the country despite getting double and triple teamed a lot of games and still finishing over people (Notre Dame dunk comes to mind). Washington, on a team that poor, could probably shine very well. But he's a star, on a star studded team. That same Jones probably wouldn't do more than 10-12 points and 5-6 rebounds a game on this coming team. We'll never know. That being said, freshman Terrence Jones is some of the most fun I've had watching a UK player dominate. His games against the likes of Uconn and Notre Dame are legendary.
I truly thought Terrence Jones would be the POY and top pick in the draft after his first several games at UK. He looked unstoppable. As you said, those dunks against ND and UConn were insane.
No he can't handle the ball like Jones. But I think he will be more like a bigger Chuck Hays, he's strong and doesn't mind mixing it up and brings it every night. Either way Washington will be a key player in Drive for 9.
