PJ & Vanderbilt will be two of the most versatile forwards that Cal has ever coached.

I'm sure this has been discussed, but PJ's game resembles who? I agree with with everyone on Vanderbilt and MKG.

It will be interesting to see how Cal will use them, especially if he gets Gabriel back for another season. Three guys in the 6’8” to 6’9” range who can extend the opposing defense, all with good motors (as you noted).

Vanderbilt’s recent measurements were the most alluring to me – 6’9” with a wingspan that exceeded 7 feet.

Imagine a full court press with Washington, Vanderbilt, Gabriel, Diallo, and Alexander!

JV and PJ are just what the doctor ordered for UK. Versatile big men who can handle the ball and rebound. They take care of an area that UK has needed for two years.

If Gabriel doesn't take the off season serious, he will ride the pine. He needs to get in the weight room and the gym all summer.
PJ and Vanderbilt are studs from day one I'd say. Going to be fun to watch!

Versatile implies they can score.. yet to be determined

Vanderbilt really surprised me. His intensity and feel for the game was very good, Friday night at least. Almost non stop talk by the announcers about Porter it seemed, Vanderbilt was right there with him. TV guy said he had improved his shooting. Looked like an active guy that can do damage in a lot of ways.

Alexander also looked good to me. Looked like a good shooter out to the 3 point line and at 6-6 a pretty versatile guard.

Matt Pilgrim is a beast in practice. Wcs played football. KW won the 3 pt shooting contest at the McDs all star game. Marcus Lee played volleyball in high school.

P.J had a high motor as far as rebounding but he needs to rev it up more on defense, Cal should be able to help a lot with that

Vanderbilt was on the point of the press last night and him and Sexton destroyed the world team for a 4 minute segment. Please Cal press this year, especially if Bamba is on the back end of it!

I like what I saw from Vanderbilt. Not sure he is a sure fire guaranteed starter.

Green starts (best PG on roster).

Diallo starts. Best player currently on the roster.

If Bamba signs, he starts. Best post player we would have.

The last two spots come down to Vanderbilt, Washington, Richards, Gabriel (if he returns), and Humphries (if he returns).

We sign Johnson, he starts. We will need his experience and shooting.

Vanderbilt is going to get plenty of minutes, regardless. Looking forward to seeing him in a Wildcat uniform.

It would seem to me that Gabriel and SKJ have work to do in order to see any more minutes or a bigger role than they saw last year. It could happen but if Bamba and Johnson are here then it gets tougher. It is crowded in the front court,I think Humphries could be more valuable then Gabriel or SKJ,(full disclosure I like Humphries but he,Gabriel and SKJ may find minutes hard to come by)
