Which ones are close to the end of the road? Which one holds on the longest?

Boeheim is the oldest, but I think they'll have to drag him out of the Syracuse job.

I think Coach K goes on for several more years.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Pitino and Roy gone in the next year or two.

The academic scandal will probably do Roy in. Really believe Calipari is what will run Pitino out of Louisville.

I could see Pitino being the only one out of this group going to another coaching job. Maybe taking a job at a lower level school up east. Hell, maybe UMass, his alma mater.

Coach K and Boeheim might do what Bowden and Paterno did, holding on too long trying to outlast the other. Boeheim might have 1,000 wins in mind and then retirement, though. I think one of the reasons K has recruited one-and-dones here lately is because he's not sure he'll be around four years. Pitino doesn't want to leave while Cal is riding so high. I think he stays at least another two years, hoping to beat him again so he can have the last word. Roy? Who knows. Depends on what happens with the scandal.

My predictions ate:

1. Roy (the scandal claims him)
2. Boehim (He didn't want the ACC anyway)
3. Coach K (he'll secure the record, be over 1k wins, and realize another title isn't happening)
4. Pitino (He was hoping Little Ricky would be ready to take over, he is either first on the list or last. I suspect last)

Please do not forget that Syracuse has its own investigation pending with the NCAA, but am sure it is minuscule in scope as compared to UNC. I doubt it claims Boeheim, but it sure as hell doesn't help.

This is a good guess. None of these guys want to go anywhere. All have to big of an ego. Roy wont survive the scandal. The cheats are slowly cleaning house and giving out golden parachutes. Cuse is under investigation for cheating. K wants to get 1k. He is having a lot of trouble coaching the oad. K still managed to out coach RP Sat. Pitino will hang on until little rickey can come to town.

I doubt Lil Ricky lasts very long at Louisville if that scenario plays out. I could see him there for about four season before being fired due to a dismal record against the upper echelon of the ACC.

1. Boeheim - Syracuse is crumbling, and JB is the oldest at 70 years old.

2. Roy Williams - only 64 years old, but I feel the stress of the UNC position will give him only a few more seasons.

3. Pitino - I think Louisville inability to maintain solid recruiting consistency will cause Pitino to leave earlier than he would have otherwise wanted. He simply can't recruit with the big boys, and it is costing him.

4. Coach K - his ego will keep him in the job, and also prevent him from understanding that the world exists outside of establishing his basketball legacy. I truly believe he is singularly the most egocentric coach in America, and might continue to coach well into his 70s as a result.

^^^Agree on K. He will try to hang on till he's forced out.

I would go with who ever has the prettiest wife will be the first one to retire down to who has the ugliest will be the last.

1) Pitino - Lack of stamina in his older years.
2) Ol Roy - The scandal will be the end of him.
3) Boeheim - Is Cuse even playing bball these days?
4) Coach K - He wants to get as far over 1k as possible.

Pitino will have lack of stamina in his older years? Does that mean 5 seconds instead of 15?

It's kinda funny , but I read other teams boards a lot and Indiana , North Carolina , and Duke all think Brad Stevens will be their next coach and all they gotta do is make a phone call .

The order on the OPs title sounds good to me.

I really think there is a chance Pitino retires from UL this year. He is losing Jones, Blackshear. Montrzzzzzzzzel and Rozier are probably going to go pro. That does not leave him much for next season. For those of you that say he is waiting for his son to take over, I'm not sure many UL fans want that. I am sure they think they can get someone better.

Winner.

For what its worth, my guess is Boeheim, Roy, Rick, and last Coach K. I really think Coach K will stay till he dies or they run him off because he can't stand the thought of anyone breaking his record for wins.

I'd be shocked if Coach K goes before Boeheim. Then all Boeheim would have to do is stay two and a half more years and he's the all-time winningest coach (which I assume means more to him since he only has one ring).

A couple more early outs and rat face is done.

I feel like Roy is done in the next 9 mos once the shtf with scandal.

I think pitino is there with rat face where he is an early out and an NIT away from hanging them up.

Boheim could go at any time

Roy
Boeheim
Pitino
Rat face

In that order...although I could see Roy coming back and coaching some shit school at some point.
