Pitino lost his right to be appreciated at UK the moment he went to Jefferson County. The fan base can defend him as much as they want, but he ignored everyone who suggested he go elsewhere.

I attended Midnight Madness Pitinos first season, They held a Pitino look alike contest and I yelled down at C. M. Newton and asked him why he wasn't in the contest and he yelled back "He's too short!" Pitino went on an built us back up and then headed off to Boston as one of the good guys. He took the Little Brother job and becme a low life sunk weasel. He went 15 seconds with a skank and solidified that title. Looking back on C. M's he's too short comment, I wish I had yelled back "And too quick!"
He has taken us from probation to multiple ff's and a championship. He has taken little brothel to court and the gutter. What's not to like???
