Perry played with confidence

Perry has to make teams pay a little. He did that today with the 3pt. shot he hit (taken without hesitation like high school). And you guys who have already said this are right, confidence and comfortability are key for him and there is no way to short-cut the process of time. A year from now I can see Perry having the confidence to drive for a layup when he's being overplayed, etc.

Travis has the opportunity to learn not only from his coach but practicing against the quality guards he must go against daily in practice. Travis has played his last 2 games without a turnover and the flow of the game hasn't suffered. He has improved dramaticly since the beginning of the season and IMO will be a consistent quality for his career.

He handles the ball well. He sees the floor. His defense, is meh, but no worse than a couple others.
He definitely needs to look to score, no less than 6 shot attempts.
I agree, OldSports ... Travis definitely needs to look to score. If you told me that Coach Pope literally instructed him before the game to take no fewer than 6 shot attempts in the game, I would applaud such a coaching instruction.

He appeared to be looking for the shot on that trip and a couple of others. He needs that mentality to be successful

Now that he’s hit one, just his being confident in looking for his shot will open the offense more too as teams will not go under the screen.

I think he knows he is limited at the rim against much longer athletic defenders, so the next step for him is developing (or using it if he has one) a nice floater in the lane
