Perfect fit for Pope. Florida State big man Malique Ewin should be the top frontcourt target if he decides to transfer

Average 14 pts 7.8rebound 1.8ast in 25.7min per game.

If he decides to transfer, he seems to be the perfect substitution of Amari Williams, can pass, can rebound, seem to be more fluid than Amari in offense with weaker defense.

I think there is decent chance that he will transfer as Hamilton will retire after this season.

Should be the one of top targets if he transfers. He is perfect fit for Mark Pope.

Completely agree, this guy is a beast and is really good passer.

Another name peopel need to get familiar with is obi agbim from Wyoming.
Interesting. I actually saw Wyoming play a few weeks back at Colorado State and they got absolutely destroyed. I don’t remember the name, but remember thinking Wyoming was one of the worst teams I’ve seen play college ball.

Obviously doesn’t mean he’s not a good player, but no talent stood out on that team when I watched them.

I actually Ike his game and think he can hit an outside shot. He may do a little to much sometimes but he’s played well.
He has excellent athletic ability. In OU games, he can even switch onto Fears and has the ability to guard smaller players despite being a big. When playing against Duke, I think his defense on Flagg was also quite solid. His low-post touch is poor, but he seems to have decent finishing ability off assists and some shooting potential. For me, playing him at the power forward position can help mitigate many of the issues he would face at center. As long as he can develop a reliable spot-up shot and excel at finishing in pick-and-roll situations, his weaknesses in rebounding and physicality at the center position could actually become strengths when playing as a power forward.

Garrison is a sophomore, Williams a 5th year senior, . What was Amari Williams' per 40 minutes as a sophomore? I think Garrison is one of those types of people that needs some bonus NIL dangled in front of him for games or period of games in order to stay completely focused. but Im sure Mitch Barnhart would push any booster away trying to do what happens at most other SEC schools because holding UK back is his specialty

Williams had progress from 2nd to 4th year, but not that huge.

He actually wasted time in Drexel...

He shall transfer to big league for development at an earlier time (Just imagine how good Amari will be if he is developed for 2-3 years under Pope)

This guy is better than Garrison...

Also Garrison may transfer out based on rumors...

Again, if you have chance to get a better guy, never consider about the "recruit over" story.
I'm thinking budget, and the biggest need for next year's team in the frontcourt is that 4 spot. If Garrison transfers, that's a different story.

If we have chance to get some promising pieces, I believe Pope will find a way to make supporters raise the available NIL fundings

For example, if you are a nil supporter, uk department says to you "we can get this Mark Sears level player with more money", you are very likely to devote more money.

Agbim is really good. He will be one of the best guards In the portal if he enters

Oweh and Ewin has a nice ring to it. I’m interested
If we haven't already contacted this kid, we are way behind. I'm sure he will know where he is going and how much he will be paid before he enters the portal. It is called tampering and everyone is tampering.

Kind of doubt that, Hamilton was always a stickler for defense
And yet they're not in the top 50 in any major defensive stats and are ranked in the 200's in some defensive stats. They just allowed UNC to put up 96 on 55% shooting, the game before that they allowed Louisville to put up 89 on 50% shooting. This isn't the same FSU team from 5-6 years ago.

I watch plenty of FSU games, have family members that attend the same church as him in Tallahassee.

But FSU is 72nd in defensive efficiency, they're 106th in 2pt % defense for a reason and they're 265th in allowing offensive rebounds.

Go read any FSU site and they say the same.
Ewin can play here and he would be the starter easily
