I love the thought of Oakland trying to zone this team. We should eat them alive.

If these three do most of our shooting I feel good about our chances. But I hope DJ and JE don’t try too hard to be the hero’sAnd they might just regret that if Reeves, Reed, Dillingham all get hot from outside!!
Uh, not Mitchell. Mitchell hasn't been playable (for significant minutes) for a few months. Back-up minutes for him unless he finally gets back to form.Z or Mitchell and four guards for 30-minutes!!
Tre is the perfect player to plant at the foul line and pass vs a zone. If Oakland sticks to zone, I predict a big game from Mitchell.Uh, not Mitchell. Mitchell hasn't been playable (for significant minutes) for a few months. Back-up minutes for him unless he finally gets back to form.
Man, I hope so. I sure miss the Tre we saw at the beginning of the season.Tre is the perfect player to plant at the foul line and pass vs a zone. If Oakland sticks to zone, I predict a big game from Mitchell.

I like the idea of giving Tre Mitchell a chance to get some easy looks and find his shot before competition picks up.
Let Big Z eat in that zone…Should be to our advantage if they zone.
We should shoot the lights out against a zone. SHOULD is the key word.
Our bigs have 4-6” on their biggest player. Perch them at the FT line in the zone (namely Big Z) and have fun.Depends on if it's a 2-3, a 3-2, or a 1-3-1. We all know how much Cal loves that last one.
A 3-2 could pose a problem if our bigs can't get their heads out of their asses like usual.
Anyway, GO BIG BLUE.
I wish Kentucky would zone. They did for like three possessions last game and it worked
I think Big Z and Mitchell will be the keys in a possible upset of Houston. Need to get them going in round 1 if we want a shot later on!Let Big Z eat in that zone…
Oakland sucks!!!
That, and the fact that he's back in Pittsburgh for a big ol' homecoming type setting, is worrisomeIn the other similar Thread I posted this article about Cal’s friendship with Kempe.
How does Cal fare against good friends? Huggins, Crean and Barnes come to mind.

It's pretty much a matchup 1-3-1, which I don't think we've seen this year, and I'd be surprised if any of our freshmen have ever seen before. It's unique, definitely not like any 2-3 zone they've seen this year. Please zone this team. Just let Tone, Rob, and Reed have target practice off easy screens.
Idk what you were watching but when I seen us go zone three times we made two stops and then gave up a floater that was a garbage shotHuh? We gave up back to back wide open threes within like 30 seconds.
