Per Matt Sak the list of known prospects

Great Osobor is a phenomenal player. And not simply a post player. He’s got perimeter skills and can handle the ball. He does need to trim down and get in better shape.
DJ Burns would like a word with you.

From that list.. I hope our Roster looks like this....

Centers
Amari Williams
Aly Khalifa

Guards
Collin Chandler ( committed )
Travis Perry ( committed )
Reed Sheppard ( please comeback )
Jeremy Roach
Javon Small

Forwards
Jaxon Robinson ( please come )
Cade Tyson
Liam McNeely
Jakobe Coles

Hopeful Starters
Jeremy Roach
Reed Sheppard
Jaxon Robinson ( or Collin Chandler )
Liam McNeely
Amari Williams

First off the Bench
Cade Tyson
Travis Perry
Collin Chandler
Aly Khalifa

I'll counter and leave Reed off because my heart hurts even pretending he'd come back.

Center - Williams and Khalifa

Guards - Perry, Chandler, Roach, Brea, Robinson, Oweh

Forwards - Mcneely, Coles, Osobor

Starters 4 guards and a big:

Roach
Brea
Robinson
Oweh
Williams

First of the bench:

Mcneely
Osobor
Khalifa

I could do without Khalifa but I like that he can teach the system to the guys along with Pope and his incredible vision and passing. But we need guys like Williams and Osobor. I don't see us getting Tyson but I would absolutely love to snag him. Oweh gives you that powerful athletic guard who played the 4th guard for Oklahoma this last year. Roach and Brea are snipers and Robinson is a Reeves-light do it all wing who also knows Pope's system. Osobor is very very talented and not just a pure 5 (actually listed at G/F if you can believe it) who provides beef along with Williams who both can go 1 on 1 unlike any big we had last year. Chandler and Perry learn the system to be future contributors. Mcneely highly recruited but not relief upon to be a star but shows flashes of brilliance while going through growing pains. Coles is a role player and pure back up who may end up surprising but I expect just to be 5 fouls with a good game every now and then with experience and size at the 4 when needed.

Osobor isn't an off the bench player. He will be an All-American candidate next season. I would consider Washington the favorite given his relationship with Danny Sprinkle.

Matt Jones just said, according to Jeff Goodman, there are still some high end players that are going to enter the portal after they receive their last NIL check. He didn’t say who.1
DaRon Holmes from Dayton fits this bill. We are already in touch with a Brea from Dayton, who was the A-10 Sixth Man of the Year. Holmes was a 2nd team All-American, the A-10 Co-Player of the Year, and the conference Defensive Player of the Year. We would have a fearsome post defense if he paired with Wiliams from Drexel.

This Twitter space I’m listening to is saying we are in contact with Saint Thomas from Northern Colorado…6’7” 200 F avg 20 & 10.

Man I’m telling yall, if you truly believe Jaxon Robinson is going to be a starter for y’all, it’s going to be a long season. That’s not intended to be a flame, I’m telling you he’s not that guy. He isn’t built like that, he can shoot a little bit, he’s not trash, but he’s not a starter at the level y’all want to be at. Not saying he can’t be a good role player or whatever, just giving you fair warning he’s not “him”.

Tend to agree with you JA
I have watched several BYU games. Has talent but seems undisciplined. Jacks up 3’s from deep but he is no Caitlin Clark. Would take him as a 15 :minute guy off the bench. Advantage is knowing Pope’s system. If CMP brings him to UK he must be a player that will has a great attitude and example to his teammates. If Pope chooses him, I am on board.
