The team we played had a backup point guard who is into his second year. He can't shoot worth a damn, but he can at least get the ball up the court without turning it over. To act like playing a game without a point guard doesn't matter is utterly ridiculous. It makes you look like you were just waiting for a chance to trash Pope after earlier in the season pretending to support him.

No it doesn’t make me look like anything. You get upset anytime anybody has even the smallest criticism of pope. We get it you hated cal, but pope isn’t above criticism. If you think the effort and defense aren’t issues then idk what to tell you. Also Arkansas was missing a pg, they played fine without him. Ole miss wasn’t some offensive juggernaut and they hung 100 or 98 on Kentucky. So no I’m not out to get pope, but you gotta stop acting like he is above criticism.
They lost a game they couldn’t and shouldn’t have lost, but yeah man go to extremes to prove your point.
Unfortunately, teams lose games no matter what fans think should happen. You say I am going to the extreme? That is exactly how I feel about you because you seem to not be able to get past the loss just because Cal pulled out his overused "their Super Bowl" cliche. Beating Arkansas isn't and never will be Kentucky's Super Bowl no matter how much the used car salesmen try to spin it.

I think this is evidently true. Our guys played hard versus Arky but NOTHING like how they played. They played like it was for the national title
I know this team has issues: no healthy point guard, no athletic freak, no dominating big under the basket just to name a few, but yet they have remained ranked for most of the season. This is the reason I am not losing my mind over the loss to Arkansas. No one expected Kentucky to be nearly as good as they have been and it took the loss of their point guards to trip them up. Has the season gone the way I wanted? Heck no, but I know it could be a lot worse.

I agree, the arkasnas loss is the only one that sucks. Ole miss the effort could have even better but they weren’t gonna win that game with the way ole miss was shooting. I like pope, I want him to succeed, but he needs to make 2-3 adjustments this offseason to do that here
I think they could have won the Ole Miss game if not for the first half hangover from the loss to Arkansas. If they had played the first half the way they played the second half, they would have won. I thought Pope did a great job getting them to pull their heads out of their butts long enough to put up a respectable second fight even though they lost.

To be fair, several opposing coaches, after losing to us, said we have a championship caliber team. So it wasn’t just some crazies on this board.

Most everyone on the board wants to win. Throwing a tantrum about literally every single thing and wanting to win are not the same thing. This board has a lot of people that do that. Not directing this at you as I’ve never seen one of your posts that I remember but answering that as a genuine question.
