Over / under against New Mexico state

I think the Cats cover the 18.5 easily, but I stayed way away from over/under. I have no idea how many NMSU can score, 50? 60? Cats should be up around 85 I think.

Nothing like people gambling who have no idea how to do it. Vegas especially loves that.
I am 67 and I used to bet through a bookie in 80's. Back then most all lines and totals were set by people so you had a punchers chance to win. Today with computers and algorithms it is amazing how many games are right at total and spread. I still place a few bets at a casino during March Madness,
Superbowl and 1 or 2 College football games a year. With the way to calculate juice on each bet now it makes it even harder to make any money. Back in bookie days it was a straight 10%.

When I was A LOT younger dad had a buddy. His name was John cool guy. We went to his house he had a phone in every room of his house even the restrooms. We went in his garage he had a trap door in his garage. He pulled it open we went down a ladder he had like 6 phones down there. John would get the bets and spread them around to the bookies so the money was spread out and all the bookies would make their Vig. John got raided and spent some time in the pen. When he got out he stayed at our house for a little time. Super nice guy. Dad owned some bars downtown when Lex had a lot of bars all over town.

Great story, I quit betting when I met my guy to pay him and he came in shorts and sandals and I had on a suit with tie. I asked myself why am I working to let him goof off.

Suits and ties for work these days is pointless. Waste of money, and way too much effort. I wouldn't care if my Wall Street financial analyst or basketball coach wore flip flops and shorts as long as they don't look like a hobo, make me money and win us games.

Clothing means nothing. Maybe it did back in your day, but I'm 50 and have always thought dressing the role is for actors and sports players (uniforms). Doesn't have a lick to do with how well one does their jobs.

Wore a suit for 33 years before I retired. I agree many occupations do not need to wear a suit, but, some do. I was a CPA and it was expected by my clients, Attorneys are another occupation that people used to look for professional dress. Norms change you just have to watch a movie from the 50's and 60's and men are always in suits and wore hats.

When I started flying in the early 80's you did not get on a plane without a suit now some are half naked when they board. My dad wore a tie everyday of his life.

We probably need some of these old school norms based on what I see happening in this Country now.

Spot on 1000% my same thoughts. Hope to never wear a suit and tie another day of my life. Has zero correlation to how hard I work and how well I do my job (and same for others).

I’m younger than you and appreciate and respect people that take time to dress appropriately. Would absolutely choose a CPA, financial advisor, banker, etc that was dressed in a suit or professionally over one who wasn’t. Just my opinion of course

take the over, we going to give Hooten an a$$ whoopin. Cats by 25

This is one cool story out of many, I would think.

I’m into wear sports coats now instead of wearing a full suit. I still look more dressed up than most but it’s casual enough for me.

The spread has dropped from -18.5 to -15.5, that is huge, must have been a lot of money come in on NMSU.

How can anyone feel that confident on NMSU?

The had 100% turnover. Every single player and coach from last year is gone. That's crazy
