When I started the list, I thought there were 25ish, but there are now 30 Rivals 4 and 5 star players among our 85 scholarship players.

And we can use the plural for 5 Stars, as with Justin Rogers and K. Goodwin, we have two of them, also a first for Kentucky in the modern era.

(1) Josiah Hayes/4 Star DT/2020

(2) Sam Anaele/4 Star DE/ 2020

(3) Tre’vonn Rybka/4 Star DL/2020

(4) Christian Lewis/4 Star WR/2021

(5) Kiayanta Goodwin/5 Star OT/2022

(6) Jeremy Flax/4 Star OT/2020

(7) John Young/4 Star OL/2020

(8) Grant Bingham/4 Star OL/ 2022

(9) Jager Burton/4 Star OL/2021

(10) Justin Rogers/5 Star NT/2020

(11) Deone Walker/4 Star DL/2022

(12) Darrion Henry-Young/4 Star DL/ 2019

(13) Justice Dingle/4 Star FB/TE/ 2018

(14) Tyreese Fearbry/4 Star LB/ 2022

(15) Trevan Wallace/4 Star LB/2021

(16) Chris Oates/4 Star LB/ 2018

(17) Keeton Wade/4 Star LB/ 2022

(18) Kobi Albert/4 Star DB/ 2022

(19) Destin Wade/4 Star QB/ 2022

(20) Jordan Anthony/4 Star WR/2022

(21) Duece Hogan/4 Star QB/ 2020

(22) JJ Weaver/4 Star DE/ 2020

(23) Beau Allen/4 Star QB/ 2020

(24) Tavion Robinson/4 Star Ath/ 2019

(25) Octavious Oxendine/4 Star DL/ 2020

(26) Tyrell Ajian/4 Star DB/ 2018

(27) Dane Key/4 Star WR/ 2022

(28) Mike Drennen II/4 Star RB/ 2020

(29) Alex Afari/4 Star DB/ 2022

(30) Barion Brown/4 Star WR/ 2022.

See if you can catch any I missed. Again, I limited it to Rivals.

Counting the Jack LB position, we have 13 O-linemen and D-linemen on the list, enough to start a 4 or 5 star at every position.

Damn. I’d bet 95 percent of the remaining players are 3 stars too. Maybe a couple 2 stars sprinkled in like kickers or something.

I won't challenge that math!

Used to all be 2 and 3 Stars!
Exactly right. And yet Joker was the worst coach imaginable when he couldn't compete in the SEC with THREE four stars (two very good ones) playing against the seven SEC teams on the schedule that AVERAGED 38 four stars in the previous four classes, PLUS five stars, and Florida alone had about a dozen or more., And Joker did make a bowl game (our normal under Brooks, a great coach IMO). Plus our great coach now (yes, I consider him to be great) could only equal the obscene TWO OOC nobody wins his first year, and that was AFTER adding three four stars to the roster.

And our present hero to a lot of our fans would have been lost without the obscene amount of money due to the OTHER SEC programs run by ADs that were paying attention. And our baseball team is still struggling after we added the new 30 or 40 million dollar stadium------thanks to the OTHER SEC football programs with ADs that weren't asleep at the wheel. Our FIVE seasons in a row without a bowl game didn't contribute anything to the flood of money the SEC distribution brings to ALL the SEC programs now------even Vandy.

That is all for now until I see another stupid or astute post-----heavy on the stupid. posts..

Fire away.

I don’t know why we’re playing a 3-star over Beau Allen. The ceiling is higher for Beau!

Agree completely with your post. And in 2010 Florida that a lot of our fans thought we would beat on the road AVERAGED a 5.9 at every position------not just on offense but on offense AND defense-------AND not just the starters but the TWO DEEP on offense and defense,

Unbelievable, yes, and some blamed Joker for losing to them, with TWO four stars playing starring roles.

Incredible, look it up, I did. Just one example of how far our program was allowed to fall behind with a FULL DECADE with bare minimum maintenance of our football program, when the nearby city school was making fun of our facilities' When UK football in 2010 with little support brought in $18,000,000 compared to the best BB program in the land (with the best facilities AND spending about the same on Midnight Madness as footballs recruiting budget) clearing a little over $5,000,000.
.
You choose your heroes and I will choose mine.

Obviously, that will happen.

No one is likely to bounce Jacques Jones out of the starting LB spot, and he was just a three star guy, but on average . . . .

Jauk11, I directly credit Barnhart for our growth from three 4 Star players to thirty of them.

[Put the gun down, I’m Kidding, I’m Kidding!]
Are you sure, I need to know whether to get the gun or not. But then I would have to buy one first.

I hate the idea of NIL being used to buy players. But shouldn't we be prepared for that contingency" And what if all the wheels that have to turn take place just after the season starts, a likely occurrence with the way the NCAA is dragging its feet (and Thug U's legislature is with their win at all costs mode) what happens to all those players that are already-y at their new homes, do they have to return to the open market in the middle of the season? If they really liked UK better than Thug U can they go back and change teams in the middle of the season?

No, not only no, but hell no. And where does that leave UK?

I directly credit our AD with driving our MONEY COW directly into the ground, to the tune of losing TWENTY THOUSAND season ticket holders (because of the horrible product) and having the long list of posters on here that stated in writing that they would never donate anything to UK football as long as our AD was in charge of spending their money.

Don't argue with me, argue with the FACTS.

Maybe with all that talent already on board, high school seniors don't see much early playing time. Might account for recruiting lagging this year.

Probably an all time record at Kentucky!
Throw in Levis, CROD, Smoke, Cox, Square, Horsey, Upshaw, Bates, Jones and Wright and lets hit the ATL baby!!!

It ain’t rocket science. You continue to stack 4 and 5 star talent and the wins follow.

I don’t know why we’re playing a 3-star over Beau Allen. The ceiling is higher for Beau!
His arm is not as strong cannot throw the deep outs like we need. The db’s have too much time to adjust and likely intercept passes.

I won't challenge that math!

Used to all be 2 and 3 Stars!
And yet Joker couldn't coach a lick when he had ONE four star that played a lot on offense and defense. It had nothing to do with the support that football had for mitches first decade.

Most fan have forgotten that Stoops had the same two nobody wins with even better talent after he added THREE four stars to our depleted roster.

Florida was the power in 2010, they averaged a very high four star on not just their offense and defense but for their TWO DEEP on both units. And a lot of our fans thought we had a very good chance to upset them, on the road and with TWO four stars playing a lot.

Joker made a bowl game but he couldn't coach a lick. And he (wrongfully) got credit for sitting our very good QB for a backup that hadn't played ten snaps the entire season.

He wasn't that stupid, some of our fans are the only ones to reach that level.

Sorry if the truth hurts.

Don't worry, I know you aren't that dumb.

But I don't have those reservations about a lot of our fans.

Glad to see you enjoyed the TEN years in a row with NOTHING extra done for football which directly led to the two abdominal seasons AND the five seasons in a row with no bowl game. Thank God the other SEC ADs weren't asleep on the job too, their money is what saved our bacon.

Dispute what happened, not what you imagine happened.

Strange, I could have sworn you did.
Nothing worse than abdominal seasons. They make me sick to my stomach.
Not nearly as bad as the two abominable seasons.

I would imagine we have close to that number of 5.7 three stars (near 4 star) which on paper is a very strong SEC roster, stronger then the recruiting team rankings would indicate because they don't reflect roster changes from the portal.
