Our O-Line Will Look Better Come Saturday.

We finally have our Oline 2 weeks in a row together. It’s been that way through camp as well. No continuity and that’s so important for an Oline. They have to work in unison as one. Both Scangs and Eli Cox talked about it Tuesday. Not making an excuse for our lack of a running game and some protection issues, but, it’s been an issue. Really good to have them together to gain some confidence together

CRod's yards after contact will change those loss of one and no gains to gains of two or three. That makes a massive difference for the opposing D when it comes to third down.

Don't believe Ole Miss can stay in its base 3-2-6 defense.

I love CMS but one thing he never does is have a surprise game plan. Ole Miss may not even show that 3-2-6 all game. I would not be surprised to see a surprise defense. I hope not. We never do well if our original game plan fails. That’s why backups give us fits.

I want to see them try and cover Robinson, Brown, Key and our TEs out of a surprise defense they don't normally play.

For a team that never does well if our original game plan fails, we sure have done well in the second half of games this year. Don't confuse old UK football with current UK football.

Yes, C-Rod goes off for 150 Yards. It seems to me our backs have been running straight into defenders in place of taking angles.

I would suspect they have been playing the 3-2-6 because that is what their personnel is best suited for . If changing defensive schemes means playing some less talented players over more talented players…..well we already have gained an advantage.

3-2-6 does not seem to be the best D against a guy like CR IMO. Means once he gets up steam he is meeting guys that will have a hard time tackling one on one. Will need two in some cases. They will be swarming him so all that concentration on him should open up something else.

Yep, I agree.

That’s the same thought process I had. I just don’t see it. 4-2-6 and stop CROD? We will practice for it all week and they will play a 4-3. That’s when historically we won’t abandon our game plan. Something tells me Scang can and will counter. We will see.

This. The staff is amazing at making adjustments.

Ya stoops had two notable situations where backups came in and caused issues. They were also a Heisman finalist (trask) and a winner (Lamar)

They aren’t running a surprise defense. We’ve got too many weapons for them to go unconventional. They’ll stick to what they know.

The more we've talked about it the more yall have talked me back from the ledge as far as how bad the OL is. Still, they have issues no doubt about it. CRods vision will definitely help in finding that hole

Yea it’s overplayed. Not that they don’t need to improve but it’s not the disaster some are making it out to be. The truth is everyone on the offense end needs to improve. As that happens it will benefit our weak points.

Yeah there's blame to go around....Levis pocket presence, RBs not seeing holes that are there, and OL getting beat straight up. Hopefully they can put it all together like the Bengals OL finally did last night

Every time someone tries a 4-2-6 against us, we burn them with yellow flags. The fact that our oline is not staying engaged with their blocks through the end of the play would allow a 3-2-6 to swarm a back.

That's the $64 question. Our O line hasn't been great, but neither have our backs. We'll find out Saturday where the real issue lies.
Our backs have not ran well. At all. Horrible blocking reads. If Jefferson doesn’t get hurt then he is probably eating up all the snaps to this point. Our poor running attack is partially on the line but I think I blame the backs a little more. They aren’t built to break tackles, they don’t read well and they don’t have blazing speed.

Crod is gonna make the line look good
