You got that right. I dropped premium a few years ago because of this very reason.
He has 2 top 5 players coming in. That seems pretty good.

It's called arrogance. They think everyone is coming here and everyone that doesn't is stupid and the other school is awful and paying that player, and we didn't really want him anyway. Every other school doesn't suck, every other school doesn't pay players, and every player that doesn't go to Kentucky is not stupid.

It’s called laziness. In the old days we had to work the phone’s relentlessly and form relationships to garner real information. Now everyone’s an insider with sources talking out of their asses and playing the odds. Anyone can play the odds....
#1 class coming in. A grad transfer big man isn't the same. As much as we might need/want him. It's not getting beat in recruiting, it's not being what the kid wants to do.
I'm about to the point now that I don't want to look for information on any potential recruits. It's just getting old. UK a dream school, done deal, locked up-announcing tomorrow.... on and on it goes. Just tired of the nonsense. I get things change rapidly and information gets misinterpreted, but good grief. I'll just wait for the notification when kids actually commit, because following the other stuff is just mind numbing.

This sucks from a fan perspective. How much fun would it had been to cheer on a 7’3 Ivan Drago lookalike from Amsterdam who plays hard and blocks a lot of shots? Matt would be remembered forever. No offense to Sestina, Reid Travis and Julius Mays, but they do not occupy much of my memory these days. This would have been different.

Not only are they usually wrong, but the same info on the pay boards always makes its way to the free boards within a few hours.
There's just no legit reason for any smart person to still be paying to be on a college basketball message board, those that still do so are just being conned.

In fairness that is about how they all are honestly.
They are more like "recruiting journalists" tracking the ongoings on a recruitment.
Evan Daniels notoriously doesn't even log a pick until the last second in many instances.
The only people that know anything either flat out know the player or a very close family member OR they have a UK staff contact.
Honestly out of all of them I trust MJ more than any because he doesn't pretend to be an insider, at least not anymore...and I think he does have contact with UK from time to time.
Dave Sisk will at least call it as he sees it or will just relay info. I respect him for that. Back in the old days we set up interviews and actually called the kids and talked one on one with them either at a camp or on the phone. You could listen and hear in their voice how they truly felt. If they were in front of you at a camp you could read their facial expressions and body language. Honestly I should have stuck with it back then. May have been my calling. Now it’s text messages tweets and frat parties. You really can’t get a feel from any of it. I get that everyone is going to Kentucky sells memberships but at the end of the day thats not what people are paying for. They’d rather hear the truth. Not some glorified pipe dream created to sell memberships.
Premium members are starting to turn on them here on the free forum. Getting ugly. They're gonna lose subscriptions because of this. They are getting hammered on twitter, too.

never put much stock into all these new faces covering recruiting. TJ Walker, Jack Pilgrim, Travis Graf, Jake Weingarten, etc all seem like late 20 years who couldnt get real jobs, decided to just do a podcast, attend a few AAU games report what they hear. which is mostly noise since i would imagine everyone runs their mouth at AAU games. is coach cal or anyone on the staff really talking to this crew?
Why, he's exactly right. Are you in depression over a recruit? The problem in our fan base and insiders is arrogance, and yes, most of fans blame every miss on someone else cheating and UK is always the good guy. Sometimes you just miss, no reason to be upset, no reason to lash out, just accept it and hope Cal coaches up the guys he has.
I’ve always defended Dave. He’s an elderly gentleman and overall nice guy that used to have connections. He doesn’t anymore (I don’t think) at least not solid ones. I just take it with a grain of salt and choose not to be negative towards him.

Unless you pay Dave for his information who cares whether you forgive him or not. Why not employ a little skepticism instead of just believing things you'd like to be true.
Oh shit. Never noticed that lol. I only signed up for the free trial. Don’t see my wasting even $10 a month at this point, though. They also charged me a random dollar I noticed, but was probably in the fine print, or maybe it even comes back. Hell, I don’t need it. That stimulus check has me high on the hog. Being a polygamist has its perks.
Yet the argument in 2018 when Duke completed their historic class and waxed us on the recruiting trail was that it was irrelevant because their "parts didn't fit together."
Up until this point, our parts are missing a legitimate big man. No amount of spin will fix that. The only thing that will fix it is actually landing a legitimate player.
So UK's recruiting class looks groovy and all, but we haven't met our needs on the interior and that means we are - to quote Cal- a "fraud" until we do.

Honestly I feel bad for calling him out sometimes because of his age I cant lie, but he deserves it sometimes
im all in on the shoddy info part, but that may be a bit harsh when it comes to personal attacks about their professional conquests.
I have never understood why people pay for recruiting info that is probably somewhere on Twitter already.
