I guess since I got NET Flicks I dont have to PPV?

Also , if Paul truly talked bad about Tyson’s dead child as is being reported, I hope Tyson beats his brains in and teaches him a lesson.
Tyson in 5.

I keep seeing ads for it on Netflix but I have no clue who the hell this Paul guy is and Tyson is like almost 60

I "heard" the ad playing and I thought it was the guy who played Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad was fighting Tyson and thought WTF? I looked up and saw it wasn't Aaron Paul but had no clue who Jake Paul is and was mildly surprised to see that Tyson is still alive and functional at his age.

Cool basketball post. By acknowledging “OT” in the thread title doesn’t make it (or Vikings football) a T for the hoops board. Thanks.

It’s one big work. The scripted slap, 14 oz gloves and all. It’s a sparring session made for Netflix.
Yep, and the gullible American public is falling for it hook, line and sinker.

And then ESPN and other “real” sports outlets will act like an attention-whoring YouTuber has really accomplished something by beating someone who’s nearly 60 with health problems.

I will watch since I have Netflix but it’s a joke. Scripted outcomes and sparring session.

Bunch of rubes.

These fights have all been fixed with Paul, and the sports world is loving it because he's maybe the best Heel in 30 years. They schedule bigger and bigger fights with opponents who will gladly take a dive for a huge pay day, and everyone tunes in hoping Paul gets KO'd.

.. all that said, where can I watch?

They had to agree to the 14 oz. gloves so Jake Paul doesn't die in the ring. I think Tyson is in better shape now at 58 than he was at the tail end of his boxing greatness when he was getting beat.

Honestly I don't know what's going to happen, It's going to be fun to watch though. Tyson seems to be in fight mode and Paul has never faced an actual boxer. He's mostly had boxing matches against MMA or UFC guys. If Jake Paul is serious about becoming a champion, I hope Tyson knocks him down then leans over him and says "if you want to learn how to be a real boxer, let me train you" . Make a real life "Rocky" story out of Jake Paul.

The people who slow down to a near stop when they see an accident on the other side of a four lane highway with a median will not be able to avoid this gimmick.

It being scripted is my fear but why would Tyson work as hard as he has to get in shape. There is no need for him to work THAT hard for a gimmick.

He is looking pretty good in his workouts. We'll find out tonight.

I have to imagine he's going to make millions for this. I'd skip rope for a bit for that sort of money.

This sort of ties in with McGregor, and why he'd ever agree to a boxing match with Mayweather, an all time great still very much in his prime. Aside from Connor landing a punch that just so happened to ring Floyd's bell, there was almost no chance Connor was going to win that fight. It was just a matter of how long he could hang in there.. and he actually won the first few rounds before Mayweather just wore him down.

Connor apparantly earned nearly $130 million for that fight... and it appears a lot of his MMA fights earned anywhere from a few million to $50 million for his fight with Khabib.

So it's clear the type of money at stake here for a boxing match, win or lose.

They are doing two minute rounds instead of the normal three minute rounds. I am assuming this is an attempt to keep Tyson from having a heart attack and collapsing in the ring. Shorten the rounds by 1/3, do 8 rounds. That screams concern for Tyson's health. Yes it is a carnival type set up, very little "real" to it.

Ever heard of selling the fight ? If he is on camera all fat and bloated, not many people are going to watch. PROMOTING, it is huge in the fight game. As much so as the fight.

It’s estimated that Tyson will will make at least $20 million …and possibly close to $40 million …off this shameless spectacle. The better shape Tyson looks like he is in the more people will be tempted to click it on Netflix tonight. And more views equals more money. THAT’s why it makes sense for him to get in shape for a gimmick.

Anyone who thinks this event is about anything other than Netflix, Jake Paul and Tyson making a shit pile of money off the gullible public is hopelessly naive.
