Any postseason that begins with the Yankees losing a three-hit shutout at home can't be all bad.
That being said, have you ever seen fans worse than the NYY? Booed vociferously every single out made by the home team in the eighth and ninth inning (which admittedly were mostly weak strikeouts). I can't see how anybody pulls for those SOBs, unless you grew up there.
What did they expect, they have an aging lineup that barely limped into the playoffs, and were facing the odds on favorite to win the Cy Young. So they drink and they boo . . . at least they still have A Rod, someone for all little leaguers to emulate.
