Louisville and Indiana announce a 3-game basketball series with beginning in 2016-17 in Indy and a 3-game football series starting in 2023.

It is comical IU refused to play us in Indy, but then turned around and signed on to play UL there...

Except IU didn't refuse to play UK in Indy. In fact, Glass caved and finally agreed to 2 games in Indy. He just wanted a home and home to be included in return (4 games total). UK said no deal. Basically what UofL signed on to except one fewer neutral game. (3 games total). So to say that IU refuses to play UK in Indy but will play UofL is deceptive at best.

And the date is curious. NYE 2016, typically the day (or close to it) of the UofL-UK game. Sounds like UK-IU back to back for UofL or perhaps a moving of the UofL-UK game.

Crown Royal and 9mm ammunition sales just increased to new highs. Tattoo prices sky rocketing.

In the last 13 seasons, Indiana hasn't beaten a single team in the upper half of the NCAA tournament. For the IU fans reading this, that's the 32 teams seeded 1 through 8.

But they did spend 3 of those 13 seasons on probation, so they have that going for them.

Got to make the tourney to beat the top 8 seeds. **Sigh**

This contract signed yesterday is a real snoozer.IU hasn't been good since Booby Knight got canned. And uavel is looking at leaner times since SPINtino cannot attract 5 star talent.
A ticket to these games would be worthless.:boxing:

god i really hope this games is covered by CBS because if its on ESPN it will be 2 hours of dickie v telling us all how important it is for UK to play IU like we owe them something.

I'll preface this by saying it won't break my heart if UK/IU never play again, except for NCAAT play. As a CBK fan, I like this series. It's not as sexy of a matchup as it was back in the RMK/Crum era, still, 2 name schools with rich Basketball traditions going at it. I'll watch, and so will most of you.

None of you care but there are multiple threads on the subject.

It is because we delight in seeing your program, and the one across the river, try to gain recognition by scheduling lesser opponents, that get by on their past. The one who wins, will drop in the RPI. Go back to your own board and make excuses why Rick couldn't beat out Romar for your last "sure thing" recruit. [roll]

It will have to be a bad golf day, and even then, I will just check in to see the score, while I watch The Outlaw Josey Wales, for the hundredth time on AMC.
