might be old news but just heard about this. Just terrible Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family

We all give these sports analyst hell from time to time. Gary has had his run ins with BBN but also has defended Cal before too. Anyways it's all meaningless in a situation like this

Very very sad. I remember the special on ESPN with Donovan Pelphry and grant. Very sad.

We lost a child early in my wife's pregnancy but nothing like this. My brother and his wife had a stillborn. Then lost their next child to cancer. I couldn't imagine the heartbreak God bless parents in this situation

Bev. I was pissed about our game tonight. Started looking around the web and Twitter for people that thought technical was bogus. U.K. Haters like goodman and gottlieb even agreed. I noticed Parrish hasn't posted in days. When I finally realized why. I forgot why I was so pissed.

I'm not angry anymore either - and believe me I was furious.
There are things more important; all we did was lose a game

He is back on his radio show right now for first time. He sounds horrible. It's gut wrenching. He says pray for his wife.

Says he looked at himself and wondered if he has been as nice to people as people have been so nice to him. He looks at everything different.

He said How do you go from delivering your child and holding them , to going home without them and planning funeral arrangements.


I've been listening and I have a lump in my throat. You can feel his pain in his voice.

I hate that for him. I've never thought Parrish was a bad guy. I've always got the sense that some of the negative stuff he's written about Cal or our program he was pressured into doing by the people he works for.

Either way, no one should have to go through something like that.

I share your pain, Western. We were told of our 11 year old daughter's illness on the day UK won in 98. I treasure that title because it was a temporary relief from the pain. She went to heaven 2 weeks later.

Yeah, it still hurts!

We lost our younger daughter when she was 13 in the Carrollton bus crash. Almost 28 years later, it still hurts. Prayers to Parrish and his family. Time will help but the hurt never fully goes away. The best think he can have right now is good friends.

We had our baby girl Brittney Nicole for 3 months and 6 days. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. Thoughts go out to all those who have. I'm heartbroken for Gary Parrish.

I was in living in Louisville when that happened. Every time I have traveled that highway since that time, I look for the sign and say a prayer for all the families who lost loved ones. I think it has been 4 years the last time I traveled that route. Next time, I will think of you and your family and offer a prayer for you.

Its heartbreaking. My wife and I lost a son before I could hold him. It never leaves you. I truly believe that one day I will get to meet him in Heaven. My thoughts to the Parrish family and to everyone here who has suffered unimaginable loss.
