OT: Farcical NCAA changes 'UNC-CHEATS' Rule

I didn't see this posted here Friday. A sad joke on a crippled 'association'. There is one thing interesting here I'd never seen: Dan Kane's interview with Emmert when the original decision came out.

What it makes clear is that the NCAA didn't punish UNC solely because member organizations are allowed to make their own call on what is academic fraud, based on THEIR OWN STANDARDS.

That should never be forgotten: To protect its basketball team UNC-CHEATS said that the university's standards of honor and academic rigor don't forbid giving fake grades for no work. Emmert himself says that here.

Worse, the entire list of member institutions accepted this filthy aberration into college basketball by placing scumbag institution on their schedule.

What many people don't realize is the arrogance of UNC fans. The school is a highly respected academic institution. Their graduates are considered to be well educated and can attain attractive jobs in many fields. They believe that UNC can do no wrong and has done nothing wrong. While we all know the true story of decades of cheating, they will never acknowledge it and could care less!!!

In the interest of fairness, I think it was a year of probation. At the end of that year, it was successful either resolving or hiding their substandard academics.

There is no way this pit of filth has the ethical standing to compete against decent teams. It is a shame on our program to take to court with that scum.
