2. I have no idea where to buy said good bourbon.

To the op, hosting a derby party in Va. Have a keg of Ky bourbon barrel ale, family recipe of bourbon slush(tea, oj, bourbon, lemonade- frozen to a slush), have Makers, Woodford, Blantons. Serving burgoo, derby pie, some pricey Makers pie(ordered). Guests asked to bring an appetizer and some drink. That's all I gotta say bout that.
