OT: Cats beat Hoosiers!!

For anyone who knows, what’s the story behind this? I read that UK players got hit by a lot of pitches, but that would make it seem like UK should have the beef, not IU. Was it thought that UK was crowding the plate? Was it something else? I didn’t see the series.
Got hit by 9 pitches yesterday alone. Complete bullshit. But what do you expect out of the Hoosiers.

It’s part of the game in college. There were 22 plus hit players in that region alone. UK(as well as others)practices getting hit. It’s a strategy rule that I bet gets changed very soon.

They wanted it. It wasn’t intentional. UK practices it. It’s a strategy.

Indiana players and coaches were clearly annoyed at Kentucky’s strategy at times Saturday. After the ninth hit-by-pitch, which came following a long Kentucky home run, the umpire warned both benches. The game ended with the second tense exchange of words between coaching staffs in as many days.

You don’t play to get hit 9 times

They want to get hit. You don’t even know your own damn team. Lol. You guys act like it’s a bad thing. It’s part of the game and UK does it well.

I read that article and I honestly still don’t get it. Either IU was pitching wild AF or UK was leaning in. If it’s the former, I don’t get what IU has to be pissed about. If it’s the latter, I don’t get why umps weren’t calling them on it.

You still don’t understand. They took more than 22 in 3 games alone. It’s a UK among others strategy. It’s a rule being taken advantage of and it works. Clever if you ask me.
I agree; getting hit on the arm or shoulder by a curve isn't going to put you in the hospital and it's always as good as a base on balls.
