OT: Anyone watching UK women's volleyball?

Went to the match tonight at Memorial. Good loud crowd for the game and Cats won in 4. Dominated the first set then had a battle in the next 3 but hung on to advance to Sweet 16. Mizzou is next. Yes, we beat them twice during the season but you know what happens sometimes when you play a good opponent so many times. Cats will have to be ready for Mizzou and not take them for granted. Very good exciting match tonight.

I missed it but I usually try to watch all UK sports if I can catch them on TV. I'm definitely going to have to try and catch their next match against Missouri to whom they've already beaten twice. They always say it's hard to beat a team 3 times in one season. The Cats are hot though so we shall see it's for a trip to the elite 8!

I get that they've been good for a long time. Been too busy to watch. Take care.
I am the same. Have not been to any matches, did watch NCAA tourney championship and just maybe 3 other TV matches. Agree, I decided years ago to start limiting myself on time watching sports. First gave up NBA100%, 2nd gave up Baseball 100%, then limit myself to football NFL to a few Steelers games a year and maybe on a slow night Monday, Sunday or Thursday watching a game. Finally I limited myself to UK Football, some SEC football. Then the past couple of years with Cal stopped watching live UK Basketball games and only watching highlights. Now I am back in on Basketball NCAA and UK.

I work 2 hours from my house so 4 hour commute also takes away time from other things. Was not saying you should watch by any means. Just agreeing with you on they are playing good under Skinner.

Have a great one!!

I’d rather play Pitt than Nebraska or Wisconsin. Seems like we can never beat them.
PITT is #1 in the country and lost only once. We played them in Rupp last year I think and got destroyed. They are very good. I agree, though, the other two are also very tough.

We played 10 out of the 16 other teams that are still in the tournament right now. Once Stanford wins, it will be 10 out of the 15 teams that made the quarter finals. That is one tough schedule. We played 16 of the 63 teams that made the tournament and we've played and beaten two more teams that made the tournament.

The SEC is 12-4 so far in the tournament with 4 upsets out of those 12 wins. The ACC is 10-5 with 2 teams losing in upsets and no upsets in any of their wins. Big 10 is 12-4 with no upsets in their 12 wins. The Big 12 was 5-6 with 5 teams losing in upsets (as nearly as I can tell - conference alignment is obscure in the minor conferences).

#3 Kentucky vs. #7 Mizzou on Thursday at 1 EST on ESPN 2. UK beat Mizzou 3-0 and 3-1 in the two previous meetings this season.

Just set it to DVR. Thanks!

Now it gets real. Elite 8. Play winner of Pitt / Oregon. House money now. Obviously would rather them play Oregon, but will be Pitt.

Skinner schedules top teams OOC to start each season it seems. And, so far, it's paying off this year as the Cats are really peaking at the right team. Too bad we drew #1 Pittsburgh with our bracket.
Well other brackets have UL/Stanford Nebraska/Wisconsin etc.
I like this bracket and the Cats owe Pitt for a bad weekend there last time.
I like our chances to get to the Final 4, and the E8 is the best of the best.
Special teams make special moments. This might be one of those Saturday.

UK is pretty young and really developed this year. Going to be good for awhile!

They have a superstar and she is surrounded by other terrific players. Peaking. They could get this!

Great coaching. Enthusiasm and energy. Like the way they have so much fun playing together … all the smiles. Very upbeat to watch. Terrific group!

Really really pulling for them. What do they say “ to be the best you have to beat the best”

Go Cats!!

The 2020 National Champion Kentucky Wildcat had 3 players (2 for Texas, 1 for Creigton) playing in the Texas/Creighton game- crazy to think about.
