15 to 17, so while no loss is good, this one was not the horrible, end of days loss some on here are proclaiming while wailing and knashing teeth.

I’m chill, enjoying the ride and for the first time in a while looking forward to the future.

Go Cats!

This shows that we didn’t lose to a horrible team (unless the narrative others would portray). It wasn’t a bad loss. We all want to win but that game was merely a blip.

I really think the polls need to give us a break this week. We beat #5 Tennessee and then go on the road with a ton of injuries and lose a close game. Just keep us at #15. Dropping at all will be complete bullshit.

Again, it's not the loss. It's HOW we lost.
And if we can't get healthy, it's not good at all.

Get Butler and Jax back? I'm not nearly as concerned. If they are done? All the rankings and metrics won't matter. We will not do well.
Correct. But also, don't think it'd be realistic to expect much if they aren't able to come back. Not many teams can absord losses to 2 of their top 3 players

Isnt the way we lost just what happens with inexperienced PGs or no Pg's to calm down the team and take control down the stretch? We've seen this over and over and over in college basketball. Its disappointing we lost when we had such a huge opportunity right within our grasps but its understandable. With only 1 of Butler, Kerr, or Robinson we win that game, but not having a real PG or a half decent replacement in Robinson killed us in clutch time.

What killed us was the standing around and ball watching. And turnovers. I get it, we don't have a PG, but man. We've been sloppy as hell WITH a PG. Lazy passes and just lazy play at times.

The Texas game essentially gets grouped with what will be used as reasoning why Kentucky's seed will potentially be lower from this past Saturday. But as it stands before the Texas game, they were a solid 3 seed. Rightfully so.

More performances like Texas will bring the seeding down. We need to maintain good performances against the top competition as well. A tall task at this point of the season. I just have faith Coach Pope is gonna bring us through in good shape.

I still think they aren't that far off. The dissonance with lineups, players out, with player combinations that Coach Pope just cannot cover every single angle. We can be beaten like anyone else. He has been open and forthright about issues and critical of himself and the team's performance. Sometimes the in-game developments of a particular game simply gets away from team or coach alike. Sometimes, whatever happens is the moment when you say : ok, that's simply too much to overcome. Game over. We've lost 8 difficult, tough games this year. (More will come)

we've had those moments this year. But overall, we still can be the best team and version of ourselves if we can simply get back to better health and continue developing our players in the system. The pieces are there already, for the good things we have already done this year. And even especially shorthanded in so many difficult and trying games and situations this year, the guys have WON against the best.

I am thankful for them all and looking forward to watching the rest of the season !

So Go Big Blue !

droppin' a bit in the NET. It'll be a'right ....
