But I am smart enough to understand the platform he is using here at UK.

Recruit the best with the best chance to play in the NBA, improve their games as much as possible for them to get to the NBA - with the sole purpose of making our team better so that we have solid opportunities at the title.

I do criticize Cal, so you are wrong again.


Your statements include subtle jabs, they always have.

Do you believe the only reason Cal works very hard on improving kids is to only get them to the draft?

Does it have anything at all with the success of the team?

His ultimate objective is to get the OAD into the draft. He has basically said it, more than once. I believe it.

I also believe that it has huge benefits to our program, the best players comprise the best team. So, in that regard, his goal of putting good teams on the floor that are capable of winning titles is also achieved.

I also believe that those 2 objectives can clash, and certain decisions must be made, some that may benefit the player's long term goals while at the same time not being the best for the teams short term goals.
In most of those cases, I believe Cal will make the decision that benefits the player. As a fan of the team, I do not necessarily agree with that philosophy.

Ok maybe im old and my memory failing but I can only think of two transfers since cal has been here.

Poole, Harrow, Wiltzer, not counting the first year, which was expected.
