I still have hard time believing that Gillispie was ever the coach. A very flawed man and a surreal time in UK Basketball history.
He wanted to go. I read an interview that pretty much stated he didn’t want to play for a third coach and was ready to get paid.
“This isn’t the university of Jody Meeks, its the Kentucky Wildcats and I don’t appreciate that question”
He’d have more in the long run after his pro days were over if he came back.
I was hoping he would come back for the 2010 season with Wall, Cousins etc… That would have been our 40-0 team.
On this date tomorrow, Kobe Brea goes for 40 against T A&M. 10-15 from 3, 10-10 from the line.
He made 40 million dollars and has a championship ring.
Yeah I think he made the right call.
