I was there, passing out "I Hate UofL" bumper stickers. Great memory, and the first of many epic beat-downs of the program which wanted to play Kentucky "any time, any place."
Since the "Dream Game," UK has owned the series, 24-11, which includes:
*Two 30-point blowouts
*Five more 20+ point wins
*11 total wins by 10+ points
Louisville has not won more than twice in a row in the series, while Kentucky owns two 4-game and four 3-game win streaks, one of which is current and will become 4 in a row on Dec. 26th.
Finally, there's this: of Louisville's 11 wins, 2 came during probation and 2 more during the Gillespie disaster... giving them, in essence, 7 legit wins over us in the last 30 years.
I was in Louisville for that one and watched with exceeding glee on TV. I came home the next day with the CJ that pictured Turpin packing a dunk attempt by Billy Thompson on the front pg.
I had the paper for the longest time but unfortunately it disappeared.
