He is going to the highest bidder, if Coach Pope moves on I hope they use the money offered to him and get a couple guys with college experience and some man size and strength. JMO
I refuse to lose even one minute of sleep worrying about what little brother has to accomplish trying to catch up with Kentucky. If they get a large fish, we will get a larger fish. We are always a step ahead.

I know this is not a popular opinion but it's pretty drastic to mortgage a whole college team on one guy that's never played.

IMO if both Kon and Isiah Evans go to the draft, he's 100% to Duke.

I'd drag out the process with him, make him think we're going to offer the sun, and then leave little brother broke while we get a few proven talents from the portal.
Pope knows more than I do, but I'm not gonna lose any sleep if a 105lbs AAU kid doesn't pick us. Use the money on a proven commodity.
That’s how I fell, if we get him great and ai hope he pans out but his body type worries me. Maybe he’s that kinda elite it don’t matter but if we don’t get him we have a lot of cash for the portal.
Freshmen are fine, you just can’t have a whole roster full of them. And our last coach didn’t help them as he became lazy, arrogant and spiteful towards anyone who criticized him. He literally just rolled the ball out and let them learn on their own.
I guess Duke is the only school that can sign three top 10 players that play the same position, and it doesn't bother the kids. Recruiting over players at Duke is something that has been going on forever, seems like they are immune to players worrying about playing time, they just keep on going there even if it means sitting on the bench.
Three frosh and three soph's next season, the other eight or nine need to be hardened vets that can a championship together. With fifteen scholy's no reason to not be three deep at all five positions with plenty of experience at each spot.
They hardly ever use all their scholarships but you're right kids will go there and push another kid out.
Flagg and Malach basically pushed out Mitchell and Stewart .
As long as they hold the distinction of being the most coveted scholarship offer in CBB it will continue.
Seems like Duke's #1 goal is to return Isaiah Evans and keep him out of the draft this season. If Evans leaves, Ament will come to Duke.

Pretty sure it's just made up or recycled news. But that won't stop the board from pouncing on Ament, freshmen in general, and NIL figures that are completely made up.
I hear you...but I'd argue Jasper is slated at the SG with Oweh at the SF......and I'd argue Oweh is a plus defender, top notch slasher on offense and he's our leading scorer on the season.
I'd love to have Ament....but he's not a PF and UK has to get a legit PF. He is not a legit PF...so I'd rgue for the money it's going to cost....get a PF...(along with portal PG and probably a Center as Garrison is fading).
If you get Ament, then Ament, Oweh, Johnson, Noah and Lewis could fight over the minutes at the 2/3 and some 1 and some 4. We are going to need a portal PG and a portal PF, but we would still need another wing forward as well, why not Ament?

I think Oweh is probably our best rebounder, pound-for pound. He's 2nd behind Williams in rebounding, and he's the one guy that can and will go up and get tough rebounds in traffic.
The better players don’t transfer, they go pro. Recruiting is all chance and what you can do with them as a coach, high school or portal. Look at Rutgers, imagine those Bailely at a school with better coaching
I think Ament is a good player....but he's a SF....he's not going to fare well in college at PF in 2026.....that is my only drawback on Ament.
1. The minute we lost Caleb Wilson....then Ament came to the forefront. And if $$$ has to be used wisely and Ament is going to do a highest bidder king of thing....why spend it on SF when that spot is really covered with Oweh and Noah is all I'm saying?
2. Secondly, this roster for sure needs a PF, a strong PG to pair with Lewis off the bench and quite possibly a Center (if Garrison doesn't start showing more ).
So, if I have limited funds to spend.....I'm not going to load up on wings (which is what Ament is)....I'm going to get a PF, PG and maybe even Center before I spend this much on Ament.
